I might need to ::shudder:: make a trip to Walmart in a few hours to purchase a few more giant tupperware bins (don’t ask me how i’m going to get them back here, because i haven’t figured that out yet). Those yummy plastic bins are cheap, convenient, and work well as alternative surface space when in a new home. In my dorm room my bins acted as extensions of my desk by holding my printer, scanner, and excess text books. And that was with only three! Imagine the power i would have with five! 10! What about a Baker’s Dozen?!?!?!?

I’m now taking up both of my phone lines so that i can commute from my room to the massive pile of my belongings on the first floor without losing internet access except for while on the stairs. How sick is that? And i claim i would be able to live for a few days without it…
On the packing side, i was just at once comforted and horrified by a single discovery: one whole box from my dorm room contained 12 sheet music books, and hangers. It was full. It was a rather large box. I meticulously picked each hanger out of the jungle of intertwined plastic and arranged them all neatly in a trash bag. I easily had a hundred hangers in my closet at school. A hundred! Where am i going to hang all that stuff in the apartment?
However, the posistive part was that this box was big enough to dispose of dead bodies in and now it’s just got a teeny pile of sheet music in it. I might have cut down on a whole car-trip by disposing of it! The obvious next step is to weed out 50 of the 100 t-shirts i obviously had hanging in my room.

I just walked downstairs and my cat Googie meowed at me in the most forlorn way possible. I responded in a similar fashion, and we carried on about a minute of conversation. After that i looked him squarely in the eye and asked him if he was hungry, but he didn’t respond. I raised my voice as if talking to a foreign tourist and asked him again (actually believing he might understand me), but i just got a weak meow in return.
Was that supposed to mean he was hungry?

So, looking at P.B i have this intense urge to spend the day getting back on it. How sad is my life? Didn’t i just say 12hours ago that i would let it alone for today? Meanwhile, three highly endorsable blogs i’ve only mentioned in passing so far are:
Chances of actual content later. Really….

This one’s courtesy of /usr/bin/girl. Can you imagine a world without Amazon.com? While i’m not exactly surprised that Amazon is bleeding cash at such a startling rate, i suppose i expected more of them. Why? Because CDnow went through a similar conundrum earlier this year, and as far as i know they are still headed to go under sometime next year. These companies offer discounts as deep as Circuit City or Best Buy on books and CDs, but those two real stores support those purchases by also selling appliances, computers, and televisions. CDnow has no diversification, and Amazon diversified their product by picking up movies and CDs. Why, oh why, did they see the need to compete with CDnow? Wouldn’t have been better for the both of them to join forces? Or something… Anyhow, it just seems like anyone could have anticipated this. CDnow had several chances to bail themselves out earlier in the process with possible merges with the likes of Columbia House. Sadly, at last check the outlook isn’t good for them. I, of course, am pissed off: other than using their site as my at a glance discography for any artist in the world, i wanted to apply for a co-op job there. Oh well, back to packing.
