All of freespeech seems to be having the same problem with their audio, so for now i’ve decided to forget about it. One thing i noticed in my quick spin around FreeSpeech is that i run one of the more decent sites on here. I’m not being pretentious, really! Search for “Band” from the main freespeech page and almost half of the first page of links will turn out to be “coming soon” pages, or “updated 7/99” pages. It makes me damn proud that i upkeep my site as often as i do. In an effort to get more people to read my site, i am updating the META tags with better keywords. If anyone good with that sort of thing has any ideas for me, please let me know.

While i am plugging other random blogs i run across, you should definitely go to not so soft – blog [a world unfolding] [v7.0]. Besides the obvious Ani DiFranco fan who lives there, it’s one of the most well done logs i have seen in the past few weeks. And, as an ultra-bonus, she links to other equally well-thought-out sites.

ElectricBiscuit : We’re going to be up for 48 hours and we don’t give a shit what you think.
I think that just about says it all. I plan on paying special attention to hours 36-44, as i think they will be the most delirious. I suggest you give them a try. Hopefully they can give that awful Survivor Blog (and i refuse to link to it) a run for its money on the active bloggers list.

I often wonder… who exactly am i trying to get to come to my site? The crew from shafted visits often, as do my friends, but i’m not sure what random crowd of people i am trying (and have been trying for the past two years) to attract. I suppose that i am a fan of a few sites similar to my own, and so am looking for other young and arty net denziens. However, i think the only other website i know of that has a similar DIY songwriting theme is Leigh Marble’s Laughing Stock Records. So who am i looking for? Someone to listen to me play? It’s not as if i am uder some misguided impression that i’ll be “discovered” on the internet, i just think sites like mine (lo-fi, often updated, personal, songwriting) should probably be more prevalent than they already are. Perhaps i need to look around a bit more…
