I’m listening to my senior project, which was the first demo cd i ever made. It featured: inadequacy song, touch, other plans, bridge, falling down, world in my hand, and afterglow. While it actually involved some rather deft mixing (as opposed to the live takes of the second demo, Other Plans), the quality was shit. Furthermore, my singing has improved by leaps and bounds over the year and a half since recording the demo. The only great thing the project has going for it is the involvement of the amazing Gina, who co-wrote “Falling Down” with me, as well as “All That’s True” on Other Plans. Hopefully i’ll be able to look back in disgust on Other Plans after i make my next CD (which would indicate some great stride in mixing or singing, since op is fine otherwise). Yes, let’s hope for disgust.

The cast page is now up, but being tinkered with. Go, enjoy the splendor!

Shout out to the Illegal Op crew if they click through from Spoon’s post. He and i were separated at birth, you know. Can’t you tell by our coolness and the fact that the chicks are ambivalent towards us? Oh well, surf around, have fun. Y’all are on my cast page, which should be uploaded in an hour or so.
This is another example of the habit of linking to my blog rather than the rest of my site . That annoys me, in a way, since i’ve worked hard at the rest of my site for years and have just recently started this section. Still, this fits easily into a link-happy genre while krisis productions does not, so i don’t really mind. Anyone who enjoys this bit will realize that all of the background can be found in the writing strewn around the rest of the site.
Meanwhile, that last post just re-emphasizes the fact that i’m hardly ever interested in a genre of something, instead being interested in my take on it. /usr/bin/girl is perhaps the best example of what a blog should be, but because it’s high on links and low on commentary i discount it. I did the same thing over at shafted in terms of other e/n sites. Just ignore me, i go away eventually.

As previously mentioned, site’s that don’t work (or look dumb) in Netscape are ones that i generally ignore. I realize this isn’t some malicious conspiracy on the part of bloggers everywhere, but for your entire site to come up underlines in Netscape is something i’m sure anyone could easily fix. One such site is Conceited Much?. When i first saw its name on P.B i thought i would be terribly amused by it, but the only amusing thing was their old layout (featuring both posters kissing their mirrors and primping). They might be attractive (hell, they are), but they aren’t especially interesting. I want them to be, because i feel a certain kinship with any other person as narcissistic as myself, but unless someone can step in and explain the allure of their site i’m lost.
I feel that way about a majority of P.B’s consistently top10 sites, sadly. Maybe that’s a comment on quality over quantity, or maybe these people have too little life and too much time to talk about it (and, gee, neither of those comments sound familiar), but i just can’t bring myself to read them daily. More likely is the fact that i find weblogs extraneous and tend to veer more towards journal-like blogs for my personal enjoyment. I’ve evn finally ascertained the reason for /usr/bin/girl/’s existence (though i don’t really acknowledge it), and i actually stop by survivorBlog occasionally (though i refuse to send them any more traffic than they’ve already got).
On a more positive note, prolific is a great read (and seems to have temporarily) overcome their Netscape issues), geekgrrl dot log is rather witty, and i like /dan.el.ope/ just based on his indictment of an immature blogger who took a pot-shot at /usr/bin/girl…. oh, um…err… nevermind.

Netscape just ate another post. I thought i’d start keeping track of these things. You know, just to follow how shafted i am on a daily basis.
