Meanwhile, have you ever tried to cease the babbling of your internal monologue? Can you truly stop it, or just bury it under a sea of calm. Try it sometime … i don’t think you can make it stop. Of course, the question raised if you can’t stop it is – does it really belong to you? More on that later…
Eight hours later, it turns out that i survived. Today was rather enjoyable, despite the overwhelming lack of sleep involved. The dread spectre of tomorrow is looming close, though. I don’t really want to move to Canada.
They’re taking apart my radiator now. For a while it was just incessant clanging of a chisel against a metal joint. At first it was the most jarring noise in the world, but soon it became as comforting as a favourite song; i barely resisted turning on my microphone to catch a snippet of it. Strident and ringing, clear as a bell but not as deep or rich. But, it’s over now. And i don’t think it’s fixed yet, nor will it be when i have to leave for class in twenty minutes. Or, hmm… now they’re packing up. Sometimes i’m wrong…
