The song i posted ealier is coming along well, although the “cough” and “rent” lines aren’t coming off as i would like them to. Oh, and it’s only 2minutes long, so i’m not sure if it needs another verse or if it’s just a short song.

Writing songs is getting a bit iffy… i either jump into an alternate tuning and use typical bass notes, or just wing it into a typical C-G-D, Em-C, or D-A-Bm-G progression in some other key. I can’t even remember how to write a good song… i suppose it just comes to you…

In an amazing display of technical merit, i just took apart and put back together my CD drive, and now it works again (and i found a piece of it that i had presumed as gone for over a year now, which presumably was blocking the track of the tray). In an equally amazing display of early morning numbness, i missed the bit on my Recording Exam where it said “and define the terms” on a question where i knew the terms better than i know my own foot size. Damned feet.
I finally bought some Aimee Mann …. I’m With Stupid and Bachelor #2, and i would have bought Magnolia too but it was totally not on sale. Soo… yay! Gotta run and take those off of my wishlist on Amazon.
