Yes, i am wearing a hooded gray dress made out of long pajama material that has a kangaroo pouch in the front. No, i will not explain how it came into my possession. All you need to know is that it’s very comfy.

Somehow i totally missed this, but Tom not only linked me but suggested some favorite songs. The first one he names, Tangled, had actually presented me with quite a dilemma because i had a rather solid version of it that i had done without the mixer. Though i rerecorded the vast majority of the event last night and today, i would up leaving both Tangled and What It Is in their original versions, only because i played them in such a consistent and email fashion that i don’t think i had any hopes of one-upping myself under the pressures of today.
As for his other favorite, Head Over Feet, that went something more like “Hey, Lindsay, do you wanna come upstairs and sing an Alanis Morissette song?”

Shower #2. Elise is passed out cold across the room, so it’s up to me to sit here with goofy-sized headphones one half-noon. Not that she was going to help with that or anything.
I usually play Stay a lot more aggressively than i did in that version, which tends to draw a lot of complaints from Elise, so when it came time to do this one i gave my battered voice a rest and just crooned it. For the most part. The two requests were the second to last couple of songs i recorded tonight, and they definitely allowed me a chance to do something different with my voice given the shape it was in by then.
For those of you who were expecting a Madonna fix, try one of these gems from last year: Like A Virgin, Gone, & La Isla Bonita. No, i will not link “Secret” … it was terrible enough the first time through.
