I just took a five hour nap, but i think we all saw that one coming. It’s Sunday, i have no food, and the only thing i have to do is pack. Life’s too simple.

I took a massive nap last night, but still wanted to get a whole night’s sleep, so i took 25mg of Benadryl to fight off my continually oncoming cold and to make me drowsy, and then laid down. Apparently, medicated drowsiness on top of napped-up alertness makes for some whacked dreams …. I was never totally asleep for most of the night, instead just keeping a continual dream narrative to make sure i had my eyes shut. At some points it was a real dream that had its own momentum and motivation, but sometimes i got to take the reigns. I couldn’t possibly recount the whole thing, but it was a cross between summer camp, new student orientation, a hostage crisis, and an episode of the x-files.

So, two days off and i accomplished absolutely nothing. Truely. Except, well, i got someone’s #. But, that’s neither here nor there. I just slept nearly 18 straight hours (with a small intermission) and finished off all of my pre-thanksgiving classes (partially due to the fact that i don’t do any work). So, here i am. Yeah. I think i’m gonna go to work early so i don’t sit here being lame.

So, blame Brad from Chemfet for keeping me up until 2:45, at which point i reloaded a single page of shafted for 20 minutes to try to see all of the random quotes that come up. I woke up surprisingly refreshed, and actually had a pretty decent day (notably marked with a 2 hour catnap in the green room of the theatre). Ahh… and since i’m not in the play i have no responsibility tonite! I might just go right back to sleep … mmmm, sleep.

God willed me to wake up in time for class today. Or, more accurately, i went to sleep around 5:30am, and barely woke up to move to the couch at 8am, but before hope was lost for my attending class this morning, the maintenance men showed up pounding on my door. It seems that our incessantly clacking radiator (which can keep a beat to Ani’s “How Have You Been” perfectly) is dripping onto the floor and down into the apartment below us. This function is apparently a ‘value added’ one, since it is in addition to the hellish temperatures the radiator (one of four) provides. They didn’t manage to fix it, of course, but i at least made it to Theory class and back. And that’s a start.
