Against some sizeable amount of odds, today i found myself browsing through Kottke & Megnut for the first time in forever and both of them had a post highly relevant to my little existance. Meg turns out to be a not-so-closeted ‘Sixers fan, as she goes on about her favourite players on our wonderful hometown team; Kottke took one of those ‘something against clouds’ pictures that always wind up as my desktop image for months on end (my current desktop is this picture taken by Noah Grey, which i would use on the Uprush splash page in a hot second if Noah was okay with it. But, he isn’t. Oh well… i think GreyMatter is enough to ask of the guy for now (well… Gm as well as more stunning pictures (blogged via Kottke))).
So, maybe sometimes forever is a wee bit too long. Who knew?

#13 is false. After my 5th birthday I have not had a birthday party every even-numbered year of my life, until this year broke the streak. Actually, after my fifth birthday i have not ever had a birthday party until this year broke the streak. Corroborating evidence can be found here, and congrats to Benjy for figuring this one out.
I went to the birthday party of a girl i really liked in first grade. It was at St. Monica’s bowling alley, and i think nearly our entire class wound up attending. I remember coming home from there and telling my mother that i didn’t like birthday parties, because they were just excuses to have people bring you gifts or for them to look bad if they didn’t. And, from that point forward, i neither had nor attended another birthday party (or any other party, for that matter) until i became less anti-social in middle school. However, i still never had a party because my birthday is so very early in the school year, and because i tend to be uncomfortable as the deliberate focus of attention of a group of people unless i’m actually doing something more noteworthy then getting slowly and inexorably older. This past year’s parties weren’t so bad, since the focus of the first one was mostly playing frisbee and the focus of the second one was margaritas. This year there’s talk of kegs of Raspberry CiderJack and relentless live music. Be afraid (or, just get invited ;)
5 truths and 1 lie are down, leaving us with 14 truths and 2 lies. More hints upcoming.
Finally! I found another Drexel Blog. I haven’t investigated its content or quality yet, but i bet she met me at orientation last year… any other Drexel kids hiding out there? We are one of the most technologically adept schools in the nation, with the #9 IST undergraduate program and #1 graduate program … you’d think we could muster a bigger handful of people kvetching on the web. Oh well…
Do you know how long it’s been since i linked to Fluffy Battle Kitten? Come on… guess. You know you want to.
It’s been very nearly nine entire months since i linked to FBK a single time. When i happened upon the page again at about 3am last night I was almost a little surprised that i remembered that single instance of blogging it since i’ve obviously linked to quite a few people once or twice and haven’t read them for months since, but Fluffy Battle Kitten is a name not easily forgotten. Go see why.
Dude, did you know that Re has been blogging for a whole year now? That’s gotta be nearly a decade in blog years. So, yeah, she has a very simply nice layout now and i don’t send her enough love or readers as i probably should, but much love is due to her for sticking it out for a whole year. Here’s to another! (i just wanna see if she can force me not to shower while she’s at college :p)
