BTW, you should definitely listen to “deadweight” because it’s a good song, and because that’s a kick ass version of it. Maybe i’ll do it for Trio tonite… if you have any requests, now is the time to make them.

One artist who i actually wound up sounding very similar to is Melissa Ferrick. I’m more familiar with the first half of her catalogue, but aside from the fact that she writes in Emajor shapes much more than i do, some of my songs could easily be covers of hers. One in particular is “deadweight” which sounds just like her “‘Till You’re Dead.” Compare audio: me vs. her. If you like Ani DiFranco, the Indigo Girls, or Melissa Etheridge, you should definitely be checking the racks for the album i just linked to, Willing to Wait.
In my upload frenzy i came across a recording of “Untouchable Face” i did for Crtny (soon to be hosted at sky.uprush.org). So, in place of this week’s nonexistant trio, go listen to me attempt to make a quiet Ani song into an act of cathartic revenge!!!!
