So, the question remains, who is a blogging celebrity? As far as i know, you can’t find out about a blog unless they’re on power blogger a lot, or if they get linked frequently. Surely good writing helps, but the fewer and farther between your good-writing is, the less of a personality you seem to become (because who feels like wading through weeks of essays to get to know you when they could instead be reading bite-sized chunks of life). So, in my view, if you’re neither a powerblogger or linked a lot, you don’t exist. Conversly, if you were both you would be famous. So, who is a blogging celebrity, in your opinion? Tell me, because i want to know. Does your definition of celebrity agree with mine? If not, how’d you find out about your famous blogger? I can’t wait to find out…

Apparently, some bloggers are celebrities… i had no idea. Sure, Zannah is rather infamous in the blogging community, but i found out first hand that she’s as real as anyone else. Torrez employs the wit of a rolling stone satirist, but still replies to his emails. And Mark at *riotHERO is ultimately very cool but also just seems like a normal guy. So, my question is, how do you become a blogging celebrity? Kottke certainly is one by default, but i honestly am not driven to read his blog daily nor am i fascinated by him as though he was famous by any stretch of the imagination. In my opinion, vague but cool bloggers like May and Re are the most intimidating of them all, but that’s just my opinion. Then, of course, there are the venerable like the previously linked Saturn.org, but i wouldn’t have ever known him as a celebrity until someone pointed him out to me.
