Truths: The last three posts began with ‘W’. I am ignoring shafted for no good reason. I should gather up my stuff for the morning. I should say what i really feel sometimes. I would rather be famous. I miss being younger. I waste a lot of time.

Wow, why does anyone continue to click through to this barren wasteland? I seem to just blather and blather without divulging anything especially personal, being witty, or featuring any novel links. Read all at once it’s a rather engaging documentary of my recent thoughts, but taken otherwise i might describe it as dull. Probably not a blog i would read. But, what blogs do i read?

Give me one reason.

What will i do with my own place? I mean, i’ll be more out of it than in in the next three weeks between NSW, work, and class, but what will i do? Matt and i discussed having a small get together for the local crew of shafted and i have had ideas of throwing myself a concert for my birthday. We’re obviously not having any parties given the size, though chillin’ isn’t out of the question once we get the couch installed tomorrow (and a theoretical futon that Matt wants to buy). I never had many guests last year, but that was mostly because of how small my dorm room was, not wanting to annoy Kenny, and it being a dorm room. I might be old fashioned, but i don’t ask a girl to my dorm room to hang out, since that’s the room with my bed in it. It just feels a little dirty to me. So, anyhow, new apartment, two rooms, bunk beds. Tell me what i should do!

WHOOOOOOOO! The phone in my new apartment is mysteriously on, thank god. This means i will be able to contact the rest of the world all week, and that my blogging will remain UNINTERRUPTED this weekend. WHOOOOOOOO! Of course, i’ve got to get up in about five hours to move my computer and its desk to the apartment, but i just see that as allowing me to get an early lead on P.B. Quite the optimist, aren’t i? Did i mention that i have to get through an hour with my dad before i can blog? He’s riding his motorcycle down to South Philly to help use move the bigger stuff, since i can’t lift anything and my mom likes to think she’s a weakling. Oh yeah, lots of fun to be had at 7am tomorrow. I can hardly wait.

I’m listening to my senior project, which was the first demo cd i ever made. It featured: inadequacy song, touch, other plans, bridge, falling down, world in my hand, and afterglow. While it actually involved some rather deft mixing (as opposed to the live takes of the second demo, Other Plans), the quality was shit. Furthermore, my singing has improved by leaps and bounds over the year and a half since recording the demo. The only great thing the project has going for it is the involvement of the amazing Gina, who co-wrote “Falling Down” with me, as well as “All That’s True” on Other Plans. Hopefully i’ll be able to look back in disgust on Other Plans after i make my next CD (which would indicate some great stride in mixing or singing, since op is fine otherwise). Yes, let’s hope for disgust.
