What a gray day it is. On days like these i like to put on a sweatshirt, eat something chocolate, put on an album with an equally gray cover, and curl up with a book. Of course, having six more consecutive hours of class could force me to slightly alter that plan. >sigh

In the category of “oh dear lord, why would they give him any responsibility?”, it seems like i’m going to be the co-chair of Drexel’s Battle of the Band’s committee. This is pretty cool, even if it precludes me from actually taking part in and winning the battle, as i had planned to. However, now i’ve got big business and corruption on my side! Err… wait a second…

Err, meanwhile, i won’t ever bitch about how long it takes to set up a drum set at a concert ever again. Today in Recording class we had to set up and mic a drum set for live performance… 12 mics. Even with a class of twelve people and a half hour to get the task done, i’m not entirely sure we got to a point where the drum could’ve been recorded. I’ve got to buy an ADAT tape and head into the studio to record something on it as my first lab… we’ll see if i can snatch any yummy audio for you.

Aimee Mann is the only voice i want to hear right now. I couldn’t convince Amy or Renata to put her on last night at their house, but i did lie down on the kitchen floor and get tangled in some shrubbery, so the night wasn’t a total bust. Except when i got locked in their bathroom. That was a little disturbing…

I’m eating this extremely bizaar cheddar cheese cup ‘o Ramen. I thought it was going to be ramen mac’n’cheese, but it’s just cheddar cheese soup. Very disturbing. I’m so hungry… also, i think Matt might have died or fallen asleep in the middle of a highway, because no one has heard from him in over 24 hours. While this is slightly upsetting, it does mean that i get to keep his electric guitar tuner, so i think i’m okay with it.
