wow… i turn on friends for the first time in a year or two to find Chandler and Monica engaged, Joey being an idiot, and Rachel and Ross making out. The important things never change… especially Pheobe being a ditz and playing guitar. Don’t you love ditzes who play guitar? I think you probably should…

(Almost) All masochism aside, I should be whipped and flogged for every day that i went by not buying Aimee Mann albums. I know now to put blind faith in everything Furia tells me. May Aimee deliver us all from boring and illiterate music. The great thing about most of her songs is that they’re so incredibly simple; not one of them has been a challenge for me to learn to play on guitar or bass. Their simplicity is so very complete that they become marvellous capsules of perfect genius, with no over-important production or performance to discredit. My four-tiered pyramid of musical preference is getting a bit rearranged tonight. More, later.

Babe, don’t tell me these things. Maybe i should just stop looking back at highschool saying that i wasted it and start picking up the things i missed, but there’s only so much time after you subtract school and theatre and music and work and webpage. Getting older is hard, no matter what age you’re moving on from. At least you seem to have a story for every month that passed.
