AMkitchen is now version 3.0. Don’t ask me how it happened, because i couldn’t tell you. I’m not one to hop layouts like some sort of bunny on crack, but after making the logo on the front page everything just clicked. Even when i came to a pause for an hour or two, i wasn’t stuck; everything just came as i needed it. I wish life worked like that. That would be cool.

I’m stuck in this everlasting tangle of version 2.0 by garbage. I simply didn’t like the album when it first came out; there were songs i loved but as a whole the disc failed to have an effect on me. Now? Now i know every single nook and cranny of every song like the back of my hand; little aural tricks and glossy vocals and nods to the Pretenders. Noises that once were just noises now are the sound of comfort. I just hit play on my cd player, somehow not realizing that i was still listening to garbage after hours of it playing already. When i realized what it was, i didn’t mind at all.

You know what’s funny? You can’t take a song back. I can never take “under my skin” back. Not that i want to! But, it’s strange because my feelings for anyone else are always going to be somewhat held up against songs like “under my skin,” at least in my mind. I wish i could just say: “Look, i feel this, see, isn’t it pretty.” But that was an emotion that had it’s own time and place and it’s rather unfair for me to invoke it again when i should be feeling totally new and different things… which means nothing from my next demo is likely to be played at my wedding…

I just ate a ton of red meat (still feels dirty), posed for a lot of pictures (none suitable for posting, though my hair is sexy), and wrestled (i won best 2 out of 3) for the past five hours. And at some point in there we inducted new members into our Fraternity. Our new tradition? The lightest member of the previous pledge class wrestles the lightest member of the executive board! I was pitted against our chapter president Lisa. My side piledriver definitely was the highlite!
