I didn’t really notice that it was raining last night. I couldn’t hear the sound of anything over the hum of my fan and the strains of music drifting out of my speakers. I only realized when i went to bed; with my ear pressed up close to the wall I could hear the drops as they met with the face of my apartment building and then slithered down to the ground. I wasn’t tired at all; i just listened to the rain.

Sleep beckons, and i’ve got to write a paper and do a trio tomorrow, and i’m not sure which will be harder. Both will probably kick my ass. But, sleep beckons. Good night, all.

Elliott Smith’s XO is now officially my rainy/lonely night soundtrack, especially “Waltz #2” (which comes before “Waltz #1,” for unknown and obscure singer-songwriter reasons). I hope i hear alot more of it, for whichever reason.

So, i’m happily consumed with obsessively scouring the four new blogs i’ve found, especially the first and the last ones i mentioned. Also, i’m talking to Spoon about how neither of us can can bridge that friendship to dating gap no matter how hard we try. Which of us is trying harder, the one who asked “What do i have to do to kiss you” or the one who took an impromptu nap on the couch (both to/with the girl(s) we’ve been after). Or, are we both pathetic? Wait… that was rhetorical…
