In other news, the Trio for this weekend might feature some additional musicians. Check back for more infor later. In the meantime, have you been to the brand new Trio Archive yet? It’s an index of all of the weeks recorded so far with links to listen or download them and some commentary by me. As soon as i get the other parts of my site up and running it will also feature links to lyrics and alternate audio of the songs. If i get really brave, i might add a little rating system. Err, meanwhile, i won’t ever bitch about how long it takes to set up a drum set at a concert ever again. Today in Recording class we had to set up and mic a drum set for live performance… 12 mics. Even with a class of twelve people and a half hour to get the task done, i’m not entirely sure we got to a point where the drum could’ve been recorded. I’ve got to buy an ADAT tape and head into the studio to record something on it as my first lab… we’ll see if i can snatch any yummy audio for you.

I just recorded a fucking balls out rockin’ Trio all in one take. It got a little screwy on the first song, but i stuck in there, and now i’m finished. Listening to it to make sure i didn’t clip the microphone too bad, but it should be up before 6:30 if all goes well.
