I sometimes wonder how and why Ev and the gang choose the blogs they do for their sidebar spotlight, but in this case it’s entirely clear.

Also, if you thought the b-day was going to be some sort of wild posting extravaganza, you were mistaken because Blogger decided to have it’s weekly day on non-function today. Are we surprised? But, no hard feelings, as i’ve still got to get all sorts of other things live in the background. And back to work i go.

Sleepy-time in krisis-land. We’re less than 24-hours to the big anniversary extravaganza. I keep talking about it, but, honestly, nothing amazing’s going to happen. I mean, i’ve already redone the layout for the summer, and did an all day song marathon, and wrote essay-length posts about identity, and appeared in the nude. So, honestly, the few things i’m cobbling together for the celebration are just about all that’s left to do at this point. And, damnit, it’s 4am and i need to be up and in the office by nine thirty, so i’m not taking the time to link to all of those things right now. Especially not the last one. That’s for me to know and for you to unsuspectingly stumble upon ;-)

I feel like i’ve somehow been very far removed from the sort of snap reactions i used to write. Either i don’t make them anymore, or i’m making them somewhere else, or… or now i know just who’s reading and i know if i came to these sorts of snap decisions in front of them it would be ugly or not quite kosher. So, i’m writing these massive meandering essays and it’s ridiculous because i’m hardly getting anywhere. I suppose the cost of an audience that you interact with is that you’re likely to be writing about someone who’s reading you at that very second, and so you have to decide if you want to trade alienation for freedom, and sometimes you don’t have a choice. But, anyhow, i have to go run errands now.
