Updating lyrics takes forever and a effing day. I really need to switch over to a CGI driven template system that just sucks the lyrics out of their text files and spits them into their spiffy layouts. Anyone wanna do that for me?

I over-narrate. My songs are all stories that i tell again and again. This log is less musings on life than bland daily (and hourly, and momentary) reports on the status of my life. My annalytical term papers are “too narrative – though it makes for a good story.” Hell, even my prose is too – i don’t know – prosey. I am much to fixated on ways to say things and not nearly interested enough in the ways that allow me to expand upon the story being told. It’s the same as my album reviews saying everything about a song except for a single thing about its sound. I’m not sure what i’m supposed to do about it, but there it is, laid out as plainly as i can understand it. Or: is that the problem….

hehehe… marketing comes from the strangest places. For example, while signing up for a blog, you might see this little gem:
Required. This is the URL of your main blog page. For example: “http://www.riothero.com” or “http://www.sonic.net/~evhead/blogger.html“. If this ends in a filename (as in the second example), this filename should be the same as entered below.
The emphasis was mine, but even without it i think it’s pretty cool that the folks over at blogger are name-dropping in such obscure places. Who do i have to sleep with to get such kudos? Hell, who do i have to sleep with to generate some good content? Maybe i should just go to sleep…

There’s this rather uninspiring recent trend of basing one’s entire blog upon pictures and discussion of various forms of anime. I’m as big of a geek as the next guy, but not being one for relying on pictures in my layouts i find this trend numbingly boring. I suppose it’s a fair thing to do if your blog is mostly going to be about anime relating things, or if you connect very deeply with anime, but i still find it all a waste of my time when i accidentally click thru to it from power blogger. And, look, i didn’t even manage to insult anyone by name or url! I’ve been so good lately.

Blogger is getting overpopulated? How can i tell? Because it constantly feeds its users errors when they attempt to update, and because the number of blogs registered per day seems to be growing exponentially. I don’t even use Blogger for convience; really i use it for the free promotion is affords through many blog-related sites. However, the convenience helps, except for right now, when it doesn’t.
