I was just little mister urbanite on our little shopping trip, whipping out credit cards and twenties and intense street navigation knowledge and all that. And i jaywalked like a whore. Philly is just a jaywalking city … there’s no reason to cross politely. None of my friends really grasped that, so it was left to me to lead them across lots of middle-of-the-block crossings with lots of rainy cars bearing down on us like stampeding cattle. Plus i had my scarf all wrapped around my neck and was wearing dark jeans and my faded maroon leather jacket. i’m a city-boy thru and thru.

I walked around in the rain today for hours. I really didn’t want to – what i really wanted to do was sleep in. But, eventually Matt persuaded me to wake up and join our friends on a random day in the city, and i wound up having (damp) fun. Included was the most excellent piece of cheesecake in the entire universe. It was the best culinary orgasm i’ve ever had. I’m going back on Monday to order a whole cake. Ummm….

My C++ examination should have been an easy A, but i had a huge claustrophobia attack towards the end due to tight accommodations and an unnecessarily lengthy test. As a result i sorta botched up the last question or two. However, my massive massive A in the class will save me from any negative consequences resulting from my anxious moments at the end of the exam. And then i was done for the year! Whoo-hoo!

Thank God for small favours. And also for big ones. My recording final was easier than remembering my own phone number, and i did remarkably well on the hands-on segment in the studio. Though my professor was aghast by the remarkably backwards way in which i shorten the signal chain while recording, i proved that i can work the console very well through my explanation of the backwards procedure to him. Happy to get this one over with; hopefully i get a big fat B since this is a 4-credit course (an A, though nice, probably isn’t a possibility).

I mean to post yesterday, really i did. I had composed at least three separate posts in my head during my two finals, and then i had plenty to say last night. Alas, i was marooned off-line and couldn’t jot down any of these witticisms, and now they’re all gone. Oh, woe is me!
