So, i have a lot less hair right now than i did yesterday, and i’m not really happy about it because i look very normal and not nearly as pretty as i usually look. So, until i get brave enough to appear on cam with the new haircut, please appreciate what i’ve left behind…
Hi. Does anyone else find this slightly disturbing?

Of course, my last name is probably in the bottom 1% of last names by commonality in the United States, so i’m not worried so much as i am disturbed. Although, i suppose with however many hundreds of thousands of “Smith”s or “Miller”s or “Donaldson”s there are in America, i’d rather have some benign webmail service own my family name than some teenaged netizen with a webcam and a low SAT score. However, that’s only the case in America – in some other countries it’s a different story.
So, today and tomorrow i expect this will be a little more quiet than usual, but that’s only because we’re down to the wire over at PuppetMaster and i’ll be working it as a commenter to provide you up-to-the-minute misguiding speculation and badly aimed accusations!

OK folks, Just got this info from my mates at the label; the band have sent over a CD-R of what is purported to be the final mix of the album and it arrived yesterday. Currently only *one* CD has been sent over, and under the directive of the band, cannot be distributed whatsoever, even to label personnel; in fact, the label manager carries it about with him at all times to stop people there doing a quick CD copy. When he’s not out and about, the album is constantly played on the big hi-fi. Anyone who has been to the offices will know that it’s basically one big open plan on the 1st floor including the manager, so everybody gets a listen.
Somehow he has a copy of the new Garbage song, and suddenly nothing else in the world matters to me. I am – without exaggeration – already in danger of failing one or both of my two yet-to-be-experienced night classes if Garbage tours immediately following their 10/2/01 release of Beautiful Garbage. Also, i don’t know why in heaven’s name he still links me, but i truly appreciate it.
