Marvel Event Omnibus Mapping | 14th Annual Tigereyes Most-Wanted Marvel Omnibus Poll

February 8, 2026 by krisis 6 Comments

Tigereyes Most Wanted Marvel Omnibus 2026 - Marvel Events - One World Under Doom 2025 0005Once every year, thousands of Marvel collectors from around the world gather together online to watch Near Mint Condition and vote on their most-wanted omnibus titles. That time approaches – time for the Tigereyes Most Wanted Marvel Omnibus 14th Annual Secret Ballot! This post explains every Marvel Event omnibus for material that has not yet been collected comprehensively in omnibus – all of which will appear as options on the 2026 poll.

As one of the organizers of the poll, I work closely with Tigereyes and a team of Mapping Minties to be sure Marvel’s entire publishing history has been mapped, with every issue fitting somewhere into an omnibus volume to fill your oversize Marvel shelf. Then, we’ll kick off the poll on Near Mint Condition on March 22, 2026.

Read this post and others in the series for a list of titles and omnibus mappings created by a group of the biggest collected edition enthusiasts on the internet. Every map is informed by Crushing Krisis comic guides and over a decade of polling data as explained by yours truly – keeper of the most-definitive guides to Marvel’s collected editions on the planet.

Even if you don’t own a single omnibus, you can use this post to learn about Marvel’s history of material and find great comics to read physically or digitally!

Note: Every book on the poll that exclusively contains event material starts with “EVENT:” to make them easy to find on the poll dropdowns. They wouldn’t really be called that on your shelves!

This post covers the following speculated omnibus volumes:

  • Marvel Events, 1982 – 1994
    • EVENT: Contests of Champions (1982 – 2018) [1982, 1999, 2015]
    • EVENT: Secret Wars – The Complete Saga (1984 – 2024) [Original, II, “Secret Wars III”, Beyond!, 2015, Battleworld (2024 & 2025)]
    • EVENT: Infinity Trilogy Saga by Jim Starlin (1991 – 1993) [Gauntlet, War, & Crusade + Watch & Chronicles issues]
    • Not on the poll in 2026: Quasar by Mark Gruenwald Vol. 2 (1992 – 1996) [AKA Star-Blast], because this volume maps ahead in the Quasar (1989) series in an ambiguous way.
  • Marvel Events, 2000 – 2012
    • EVENT: Maximum Security – Avengers/X-Men (2000 – 2001) [event & all tie-ins]
    • EVENT: Civil War (2006 – 2007) [possibly Vol. 1 of 2]
    • EVENT: Secret Invasion Companion (1995 – 2023) [includes Skrull-focused event mini-series, Skrull Kill Krew, Meet the Skrulls]
    • EVENT: Dark Reign Companion (2008 – 2010) [possibly Vol. 1 of 2]
    • EVENT: Siege (2010) [event + all tie-ins]
    • EVENT: Chaos War (2010) [event + all tie-ins]
    • EVENT: Fear Itself (2010 – 2011) [possibly Vol. 1 of 2]

    • EVENT: Age of Ultron (2013 – 2015) [includes AU tie-ins, Avengers A.I., Ultron Forever]
    • EVENT: Infinity & Inhumanity (2013 – 2014) [combined Events + Companion]
    • EVENT: Original Sin (2014 – 2015) [Event + Companion + Operation SIN]
    • EVENT: AXIS – Avengers & X-Men (2014 – 2015) [could include Uncanny Avengers (2015A)]
    • EVENT: Secret Wars: Battleworld Vol. 4 (2015)
  • Marvel Events, 2015 – Present
    • EVENT: Civil War II (2016 – 2017) [possibly Vol. 1 of 2]
    • EVENT: Monsters Unleashed! (1973 – 2018) [1973 series, 2017 event & series, and other monster material]
    • EVENT: IvX – Inhumans vs. X-Men (2016 – 2017)
    • EVENT: Secret Empire (2016 – 2017) [Includes Standoff; possibly Vol. 1 of 2]
    • EVENT: Infinity Wars (2018 – 2019) [includes Countdown, Warps, & Secret Warps]
    • EVENT: One World Under Doom (2025) [event & all tie-ins]

Remember: These titles and mappings are a suggestion of how Marvel could assemble these books. They are meant to make the books easy to find and to vote for. Your vote on the poll is a vote in favor of Marvel creating a book with that title or covering that period, NOT an endorsement of a specific mapping. Maps are presented as a proof of concept and to help you build your personal reading list.

Marvel hasn’t done much to improve their coverage of event stories in the books they’ve released and announced for 2026. They’ve simply knocked out their two most recently-completed events from 2024 – with omnis announced for Blood Hunt and Venom War.

Marvel Event Omnibus Mapping: Marvel Events, 1982 – 1993

EVENT: Contests of Champions (1982 – 2018) [1982, 1999, 2015]

When it comes to Marvel’s first true Marvel event, Contest of Champions (1982), it’s hard to justify collecting it in omnibus. It’s three issues! There were no tie-ins! How exactly would that work?

I think the key to making it happen is to collect it with all of Marvel’s intergalactic contest-related stories, in the same way Secret Wars relates to all Beyonder and Battleworld-focused stories.

First, this would collect the first ever Marvel Event, Marvel Super Heroes Contest of Champions (1982) #1-3, along with subsequent supporting material from West Coast Avengers (1985) Annual 2 and Avengers (1963) Annual 16. Then, it would add Contest of Champions II (1999) #1-6 by Chris Claremont(!). Finally, it would include Contest of Champions (2015) #1-10, by Al Ewing(!).

EVENT: Secret Wars – The Complete Saga (1984 – 2024) [Original, II, “Secret Wars III”, Beyond!, 2015, Battleworld (2024 & 2025)]

Similar to a complete Contest of Champions omnibus, this omnibus could gather together every existing Battleworld or Beyonder story (other than the lengthy Beyonder threads that ran throughout Hickmans’ Avengers).

This could include Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars (1984) #1-12, Secret Wars II (1985) #1-9, a “Secret Wars III” story from Fantastic Four (1961) #318-319 (likely also including #313-317 & Annual 21, per other collections), and Secret Wars (2015) #0-9.

It could also pull in Beyond! (2006) #1-6, retcon series (Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars (2015) #1-4, and Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars: Battleworld (2024) #1-4, which all insert material into the original 1984 series), and possibly Derek Landy’s All-Out Avengers (2022) #1-5 and Avengers: Beyond (2023) #1-5, and Battleworld (2025) #1-5 which are all stories related to Battleworld or Beyonder.

EVENT: Infinity Trilogy Saga by Jim Starlin (1991 – 1993) [Gauntlet, War, & Crusade + Watch & Chronicles issues]

I’m always surprised when this book doesn’t do well every year. With three MASSIVE Infinity omnibuses collecting a massive amount of tie-ins, I thought many fans would want a book that simply treats all three of Starlin’s classic “Infinity Events” as part of a single ongoing series.

I suppose the one argument against this book is that you could do this in the “Warlock and the Infinity Watch (1992 – 2004) [also includes Warlock mini-series],” since you almost have to have Crusade in that book anyway so this would only add another 17 issues. But, that’s a more complex choice to vote for, and it takes the attention off of the Infinity books since they wouldn’t be the bulk of the material.

This would collect Infinity Gauntlet (1991) #1-6, Infinity War (1992) #1-6, and Infinity Crusade (Infinity Crusade (1993) #1-6, Warlock and the Infinity Watch (1992) #18-22, and Warlock Chronicles (1993)) #1-5).

Could also include Infinity Abyss (2002) #1-6 or linking issues of Silver Surfer (1987), but the intent here is to have as few tie-ins as possible and simply present the Infinity Saga as one continuous story.

Not on the poll in 2026: Quasar by Mark Gruenwald Vol. 2 (1992 – 1996) [AKA Star-Blast]

Last year, our policy was that if a run could be collected into a pair of omnis, we’d list both on the poll. However, based on data both from the Marvel poll and from the DC poll – which did not map ahead to second volumes – we decided to eliminate these options this year.

In this case, a second Quasar omnibus would contain Starblast – a forgotten mid-90s cosmic event that crossed through Quasar, Fantastic Four, Sub-Mariner, and Secret Defenders. Maybe it’s forgotten because it mostly centered on the events at the end of the run of Quasar – a title whose hero disappeared for a long time (and has no MCU counterpart).

Given the obscurity of the event, it is highly doubtful Marvel would market this book on its own without the first volume, which is why we removed it from the poll.

This would collect Quasar (1989) #32-34 and selected elements from Operation Galactic Storm; Questprobe (1984) #1-3; Marvel Fanfare (1982) #35; Quasar (1989) #35-60; the full Starblast crossover (Starblast (1994) #1, Quasar (1989) #54, Secret Defenders (1993) #11, Namor the Sub-Mariner (1990) #46-47, Fantastic Four (1961) #385, Namor the Sub-Mariner (1990) #48, Fantastic Four (1961) #386, Starblast (1994) #2, Quasar (1989) #55, Starblast (1994) #3, Quasar (1989) #56, Starblast (1994) #4); Star Masters (1995) #1-3; and Cosmic Powers Unlimited (1995) #4-5.

Marvel Event Omnibus Mapping: Marvel Events, 2000 – 2012

EVENT: Maximum Security – Avengers/X-Men (2000 – 2001) [event & all tie-ins]

We’re not truly missing a linewide Marvel event in omnibus from Marvel Super Heroes Contest of Champions (1982) all the way to the year 2000! That’s nearly a 20-year streak of Marvel Events already covered in omnibus.

Maximum Security (2000) is the next uncollected line-wide event. I think it’s a relatively easy sell since you can market it as “Avengers/X-Men: Maximum Security.” However, in terms of contents, it’s somewhat sparse. The actual event was only three issues and a one-shot! However, there’s a fair number of tie-ins, and there’s a chance to collect all of Avengers: Infinity (2000) here.

This could collect the lead-in series of Avengers: Infinity (2000) #1-4, the prelude issue Maximum Security: Dangerous Planet (2000) #1, the main event Maximum Security (2000) #1-3.

To that, it would add previously collected tie-ins from Captain America (1998) #36, Thor (1998) #30, Uncanny X-Men (1963) #387, Bishop: the Last X-Man (1999) #15, Iron Man (1998) #35, Avengers (1998) #35, Gambit (1999) #23, X-Men (1991) #107, and X-Men Unlimited (1993) #29.

Finally, it could gather some previously omitted minor tie-ins form Amazing Spider-Man (1999) #24, Black Panther (1998) #25, Captain Marvel (2000) #12, The Incredible Hulk (1999) #21, Marvel Knights (2000) #6, Peter Parker: Spider-Man (1999) #24, and Thunderbolts (1997) #45.

Civil War (2006 – 2007) [possibly Vol. 1 of 2]

The main Civil War (2006) event is 196 pages in collection.

When it was first recollected from trade, the main collection was accompanied by six hardcovers collecting every tie-in with no repeats – Civil War: Avengers (552pgs) – which includes Captain America and Iron man, Civil War: Fantastic Four (536pgs), Civil War: Front Line (432pgs), Civil War: Spider-Man (544pgs), Civil War: The Underside (504pgs), Civil War: X-Men (502pgs).

That’s 196 pages of main event plus 3070 pages of tie-ins, or 3266 pages. That would be bigger than TWO of the MASSIVE House of M Omnibus. We’re talking about two books that would clock in at over 1600 pages.

Or, maybe even three book. Because the tricky thing is deciding how to split this up. Would Marvel dare to make a “Book 1” and “Book 2” that actually split the main event exactly in half between them and had everything in reading order? We’ve never seen them attempt anything like that before!

I think the much more likely option is that there would be a main Civil War book with the most essential tie-ins, and then a “Companion” book is the less essential tie-ins. Except, there’s just no way to do that while balancing each book at exactly 1636 pages.

I strongly suspect a “main” book would want the main event (196pgs), the main conflict in Civil War: Avengers (552pgs), and the real heart of a single hero’s conflict in Civil War: Spider-Man (544pgs).

That’s 1292 pages – a HUGE omnibus. Is there anything that’s exactly 340 pages we can add to that?! I think the next most-central piece of the story is probably Civil War: Fantastic Four (536pgs), which is 200 pages too long. But, that includes She-Hulk (2005) #8-9, and Civil War: Young Avengers & Runaways (2006 #1-4, neither of which are essential. That knocks out about 100 pages – so we have to cut a further 100 pages. Would Black Panther (2004) #26-30 do the trick, just leaving the core Fantastic Four issue behind?

If so, we’ve just barely balanced this pair of books at 1636 pages each… 20 pages bigger than the massive The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl and Immortal Hulk omnibuses!

I think it’s much more likely that a main Civil War book sticks to just including the Avengers and Spider-Man material, with a pair of other books called “Civil War: The Marvel Universe” collecting the F4 and X-Men books and “Civil War: The Front Line” collecting Frontline and Underside.

And that’s just me doing 10 minutes of collection math. As you can see, the Marvel Collections department has their work cut out for them!

EVENT: Secret Invasion Companion (1995 – 2023) [includes Skrull-focused event mini-series, Skrull Kill Krew, Meet the Skrulls]

We already have a Secret Invasion omnibus, so what’s this?

Our uncanny mapping team member BrandXK wanted to design an omnibus of “Skrulls Among Us” that would cover all of the Skrulls-focused material from the event itself plus a few Skrulls-only mini-series from before and after the event. He realized he could have cover to do that if this acted as a companion to the main Secret Invasion book and collected all of the “Secret Invasion” branded tie-ins (but none of the ongoing series tie-in.

This would collect Skrull Kill Krew (1995) #1-5; Secret Invasion: Home Invasion (2008) #1-8; Secret Invasion: Front Line (2008) #1-5; Secret Invasion: Who Do You Trust? (2008) #1; Secret Invasion: Dark Reign (2008) #1; Secret Invasion: Fantastic Four (2008) #1-3; Secret Invasion: X-Men (2008) #1-4; Skrulls! (2008) #1; Avengers: The Initiative (2007) #14-19; Skrull Kill Krew (2009) #1-5; She-Hulk (2005) #31-33; X-Factor (2006) #33-34; What If?: Secret Invasion (2009) #1; Meet the Skrulls (2019) #1-5; Secret Invasion (2023) #1-5;, and material from Secret Invasion: Requiem (2008) #1, Dark Reign: New Nation (2008) #1; and Marvel Westerns: Kid Colt and the Arizona Girl (2006) #1.

To that, we could add some or all of other tie-ins including Black Panther (2005) #39-41, Captain Britain and MI13 (2008) #1-4, Deadpool (2008) #1-3, Guardians of the Galaxy (2008) #4-6, Incredible Hercules (2008) #117-120, Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2008) #33-35, Ms. Marvel (2006) #28-30, New Warriors (2007) #14-15, Nova (2007) #16-18, Punisher War Journal (2006) #24-25, and Thunderbolts (2006) #122-125.

EVENT: Dark Reign Companion (2008 – 2010) [possibly Vol. 1 of 2]

Dark Reign wasn’t an event with a main event series or even a direct crossover event, but the reign of Norman Osborn’s Dark Avengers with a whole ton of bannered tie-ins.

The central thrust of Dark Reign is effectively all of Dark Avengers (2009) and the mini-series for the actual Dark Avengers themselves.

So, what would this be? I’m not ready to map this in its entirety, but some it would certainly include some of a number of Dark Reign mini-series not captured in the Dark Avengers omnibus, which could include some or all of Dark Avengers: Ares #1-3 (& Ares #1-5), Dark Reign Files, Dark Reign: Elektra #1-5, Dark Reign: Fantastic Four #1-5, Dark Reign: Hawkeye #1-5, Dark Reign: Lethal Legion #1-3, Dark Reign: Made Men webcomic, Dark Reign: Mister Negative #1-3, Dark Reign: New Nation & The Cabal, Dark Reign: The Goblin Legacy, Dark Reign: The Hood #1-5, Dark Reign: The Sinister Spider-Man #1-4, Dark Reign: Young Avengers #1-5, Dark Reign: Zodiac #1-3, Dark X-Men #1-5, and Skrull Kill Krew #1-5.

Even if a Dark Avengers omnibus picks out Ares, New Nation, Cabal, and Hawkeye, that still leaves a lot of books. Plus, there were tie-in issues in almost every single Marvel title in 2009 – although they all stand a chance of being collected along with their own titles (if they haven’t been already).

Bottom line: There is plenty of fodder for this omnibus. Maybe two of this omnibus.

EVENT: Siege (2010) [event + all tie-ins]

A collection of Siege is the cleanest and most concise volume of all of these possible event books. It can fit every tie-in, and explicit issue-by-issue mapping doesn’t matter too much in this event – so Marvel’s preferred “event in the front, tie-ins in the back” model works just fine.

This would collect Siege (2010) #1-4, Siege: The Cabal (2010) #1, and tie-ins from Avengers: The Initiative (2007) #31-35, Dark Avengers (2009) #13-16. Dark Wolverine (2009) #82-84, The Mighty Avengers (2007) #35-36, New Avengers (2005) #61-64 (and Finale?), New Mutants (2009) #11, Origins of Siege (2010) #1, Sentry: Fallen Sun (2010) #1, Siege: Captain America (2010) #1 Siege: Embedded (2010) #1-4, Siege: Loki (2010) #1, Siege: Secret Warriors (2010) #1, Siege: Spider-Man (2010) #1, Siege: Storming Asgard – Heroes & Villains (2010) #1, Siege: Young Avengers (2010) #1, Thor (1966) #607-610, and Thunderbolts (1997) #141-143.

EVENT: Chaos War (2010) [event + all tie-ins]

Chaos War is an oft-forgotten mini-event that grew out of Greg Pak and Fred Van Lente’s run on Incredible Hercules (2008). In it, Hercules assembles a pantheon of gods to fight the so-called Chaos King. In the process, the lines between life and death are blurred and many deceased heroes return.

This event was only mildly popular even when it was first happening, so I think it’s much more likely this is collected as part of a two-volume Hercules omnibus than on its own. Yet, if that were to be the case, it likely wouldn’t include all of the tie-ins. If you want a complete collection of this event, this is your best choice.

This would collect Chaos War (2010) #1-4, Chaos War: Alpha Flight (2010) #1, Chaos War: Ares (2010) #1, Chaos War: Chaos King (2010) #1, Chaos War: Dead Avengers (2010) #1-3, Chaos War: God Squad (2010) #1, Chaos War: Thor (2010) #1-2, Chaos War: X-Men (2010) #1-3, Incredible Hulks #618-622 (and material from #614-617), and material from X-Men: Curse of the Mutants Spotlight (2010) #1

Ultimately, this might truly be a Hercules omnibus, and continue to his subsequent Herc (2010) #1-10

It could also begin with Hercules: Fall of an Avenger (2010) #1-2 and Heroic Age: The New Prince of Power (2010) #1-4.

EVENT: Fear Itself (2010 – 2011) [possibly Vol. 1 of 2]

The main Fear Itself event was a part of Matt Fraction’s run on Thor (and, to a lesser extent, coordinated with his run on Iron Man), so the Thor by Matt Fraction omnibus has already collected this main event!

There have been few Marvel Events that truly hit almost every ongoing book and every franchise like this one since Secret Wars II. Civil War II is one of the only other one that comes to mind. No one was safe, not even X-Men in their typical hermetically-sealed bubble of line continuity. And, since tie-ins tended to follow one or more of “The Worthy” villains empowered with Asgardian weapons, they all coordinate well with the main series with a distinct reading order.

Would we recollect that main series outside of the Thor omnibus, or just hurry up and get to the tie-ins?

This would contain Fear Itself (2011) #1-7, 7.1, 7.2, & 7.3, along with prologue “Book of the Skull.

That’s 11 issues to start. Then, it could include 49 issues from mini-series and one-shots! Fear Itself: Black Widow #1, Fear Itself: Deadpool #1-3, Fear Itself: The Deep #1-4, Fear Itself: FF #1, Fear Itself: Fearsome Four #1-4, Fear Itself: Fellowship of Fear #1, Fear Itself: The Home Front #1-7, Fear Itself: Hulk vs. Dracula #1-3, Fear Itself: The Monkey King #1, Fear Itself: Spider-Man #1-3, Fear Itself: Spotlight #1, Fear Itself: Uncanny X-Force #1-3, Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt #1-6, Fear Itself: The Worthy #1-8 digital series, and Fear Itself: Wolverine #1-3.

That’s one massive book that captures all of the series most-likely to be abandoned by the omnibus line. Skipping the main series doesn’t really benefit us, since it’s not like there’s only 11 issues of more content to squeeze in its place. There were many ongoing series tie-ins, some of which coordinated very closely with the event – like Cyclops and The X-Men vs. The Worthy Juggernaut in Uncanny X-Men (1963) #540-543.

In total, that includes Avengers Academy (2010) #15-20, Avengers (2010) #13-17 & New Avengers (2010) #14-16 (a crossover), Black Panther: The Man Without Fear #521-523, Ghost Rider (2011) #1-4, Heroes for Hire (2010) #9-11, Herc (2010) #3-6, Hulk (2008) #37-38, Iron Man 2.0 (2011) #5-7, The Invincible Iron Man (2008) #503-509, Journey into Mystery (2011) #622-630, The Mighty Thor (2011) #7, New Mutants (2009) #29-32, Secret Avengers (2010) #13-15, Thunderbolts (1997) #158-163, and Uncanny X-Men (1963) #540-543.

That’s another 67 issues – a whole second omnibus! Plus, there were some epilogue stories – including Fear Itself: The Fearless (2011) #1-12 (which I think belongs in a Fearless Defenders omnibus, also on the poll) and Battle Scars (2011) #1-6 (which I think belongs with a Nick Fury omnibus).

Does that mean Fear Itself would be two volumes? A main volume and a companion? Or, would it skip those ongoing series tie-ins entirely? That’s not for me to decide! If you want to see some version of this book printed, vote for it and let Marvel do some mapping for us.

Marvel Event Omnibus Mapping: Marvel Now Events, 2012 – 2015

EVENT: Age of Ultron (2013 – 2015) [includes AU tie-ins, Avengers A.I., Ultron Forever]

After several events that are hard to map, the simplicity of this one is a relief! It’s simply the main event, the tie-ins, and the subsequent Avengers A.I. (2014) series. You could also extend to the next Ultron story in Marvel Now – Ultron Forever – which risks being abandoned.

This would collect Age of Ultron (2013) #1-10 as well as all of its tie-ins: Ultron (2013) #1, Avengers Assemble (2012) #14AU-15AU, Fantastic Four (2012) #5AU, Fearless Defenders (2013) #4AU, Superior Spider-Man (2013) #6AU, Uncanny Avengers (2012) #8AU, Wolverine & the X-Men (2011) #27AU, and Avengers (2012) #10AI.

Then, it would add Avengers A.I. (2014) #1-12, which is an epilogue to the event, a revisitation of the event in What If? Age of Ultron (2014) #1-4 (since the event itself is a What If), and the next Ultron story – Ultron Forever (Avengers: Ultron Forever (2015) #1, New Avengers: Ultron Forever (2015) #1, & Uncanny Avengers: Ultron Forever (2015) #1).

It could also add a pair of loosely-related outcomes of the event from Guardians of the Galaxy (2013) #5-7 and Hunger (2013) #1-4, but neither have much to do with Ultron.

EVENT: Infinity & Inhumanity (2013 – 2014) [combined Events + Companion]

Infinity had its own oversize hardcover and the core of it is contained in Avengers by Jonathan Hickman Vol. 1, but it’s never been collected as a standalone volume with its tie-ins. That’s not a huge book, so I think we could easily add all of the epilogue in Thanos: A God Up There Listening Infinite Comic (2014) as well as the entirety of the “Inhumanity” aftermath as well as all of its tie-ins.

The core of the story is in Infinity (2013) #1-6, Avengers (2012) #12-23, New Avengers (2013) #7-12, and Infinity Infinite Comic (2013) #1-2.

To that it would add tie-ins previously collected as “Infinity Companion” Avengers Assemble (2012) #18-20, Captain Marvel (2012) #15-16, Fearless Defenders (2013) #10, Guardians of the Galaxy (2013) #8-9, Infinity: The Heist (2013) #1-4, Infinity: The Hunt (2013) #1-4, Mighty Avengers (2013) #1-3, Nova (2013) #8-9, Secret Avengers (2013) #10-11, Superior Spider-Man Team-Up (2013) #3-4, Thunderbolts (2012) #14-18, Wolverine and the X-Men (2011) Annual 1.

Infinity also had an epilogue in Thanos: A God Up There Listening Infinite Comic (2014) #1-6.

There is an argument to also add all of the subsequent Inhumanity status quo, which would include Inhumanity (2013) #1-2, Inhumanity: The Awakening (2013) #1-2, Avengers A.I. 1 (2013) #7, Avengers Assemble (2012) #21-23, Indestructible Hulk (2012) #17-19, Inhumanity: Superior Spider-Man (2014) #1, Iron Man (2012) #20, Mighty Avengers (2013) #4-5, New Avengers (2013) #13, and Uncanny X-Men (2013) #15.

EVENT: Original Sin (2014 – 2015) [Event + Companion + Operation SIN]

Original Sin was a curious event, where the core of the story had nothing to do with its tie-ins.

At the center of the event was a mystery of an attack of The Watcher. As a by-product of that, many covertly observed secrets of the Marvel Universe were exposed – giving writers a chance to retcon in a new source of conflict into their titles. Yet, by their nature, those tie-in stories had nothing to do with the central mystery (or with each other). That means this book is perfect for Marvel’s typical tactic of presenting a main event story followed by all of the tie-ins.

This would collect Original Sin (2014) #0-8, Original Sins (2024) #1-5 & Annual 1 (plus material from All-New Marvel Now Point One (2014) #.1), Original Sin (2014) #3.1-3.4 (AKA Hulk vs. Iron Man), Original Sin (2014) #5.1-5.5 (AKA Thor & Loki: The Tenth Realm), Original Sin: Secret Avengers Infinite Comic (2014) #1-2, Operation S.I.N.: Agent Carter (2015) #1-5, All-New Invaders (2014) #6-7, Amazing Spider-Man (2014) #4-6, Avengers (2012) #29-34, Daredevil (2014) #6-7, Deadpool (2012) #29-34, Fantastic Four (2014) #6-8, Guardians of the Galaxy (2013) #18-20, Mighty Avengers (2013) #10-12, Nova (2013) #18-20.

I suspect it would omit Uncanny X-Men (2013) #23-25, a tertiary tie-in that continued beyond those three issues.

EVENT: AXIS – Avengers & X-Men (2014 – 2015) [could include Uncanny Avengers (2015A)]

AXIS was event by Rick Remender growing out of his run on Uncanny Avengers (2012) where the machinations of the Red Skull saw him inverting a group of major heroes and villains – so their very natures were reversed!

Really, you could simply call this “Uncanny Avengers by Rick Remender, Vol. 2” – because its plot was originally planned as the next arc of the book. There’s even a following arc of a relaunched Uncanny Avengers (2015A) with very little to do with AXIS (other than featuring a flipped villain) that could be included here.

This would primarily collect event issues Avengers & X-Men: Axis (2014) #1-9, Axis: Revolutions (2014) #1-4, Axis Hobgoblin (2014) #1-3, Axis: Carnage (2014) #1-3, and tie-in issues of All-New X-Factor (2014) #15-17, Deadpool (2012) #36-39, Inhuman (2014) #9-10, Magneto (2014) #11-12, and Nova (2013) #23-25.

It could also add lead-in material from Uncanny Avengers (2012) #23-25 & Annual 1, Magneto (2014) #9-10, Loki: Agent of Asgard (2014) #6-7, and Captain America (2012) #24

Then, it could add Uncanny Avengers (2015A) #1-5, as well as possibly the Avengers: Rage of Ultron (2015) OGN also written by Rick Remender. Neither directly relate to the crossover, but both were abandoned by the Uncanny Avengers by Rick Remender omnibus

EVENT: Secret Wars: Battleworld Vol. 4 (2015)

This would continue to collect the Secret Wars (2015) tie-in mini-series alphabetically starting with Spider-Island (2015).

This would collect Spider-Island (2015) #1-5, Spider-Verse (2015) #1-5, Squadron Sinister (2015), #1-4, Star-Lord and Kitty Pryde (2015) #1-3, Thors (2015) #1-5, Ultimate End (2015), Weirdworld (2015) #1-5, Where Monsters Dwell (2015) #1-5, X-Men ’92 (2015) #1-4, X-Tinction Agenda (2015) #1-5, X-Men: Years of Future Past (2015) #1-5

There is a chance it might add Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars: Battleworld (2023) #1-4 or Battleworld (2025) #1-5

Marvel Event Omnibus Mapping: Marvel Events, 2015 – Present

EVENT: Civil War II (2016 – 2017) [possibly Vol. 1 of 2]

After five years of taking it easy on us, Marvel gets back to the “every title must participate” style of event with Civil War II.

This would collect Civil War II (2016) #0-8, Free Comic Book Day 2016, The Accused (2016) #1, The Fallen (2016) #1, and Civil War II: The Oath (2017) #1.

Then it would add 29 issues of explicitly-branded mini-series from Civil War II: Amazing Spider-Man (2016) #1-4, Civil War II: Choosing Sides (2016) #1-6, Civil War II: Gods of War (2016) #1-4, Civil War II: Kingpin (2016) #1-4, Civil War II: Ulysses (2016) #1-3 (which collected Civil War II: Ulysses Infinite Comic #1-6), Civil War II: The Underside (2016) #1-4, and Civil War II: X-Men (2016) #1-4.

That’s already a nearly 40-issue book, so I’m not sure if it would want to add further tie-ins – but there were a ton of them! This was truly a line-wide crossover. They could be their own companion volume, though I’d suggest pulling the Bendis-penned Invincible Iron Man (2015) #7-11 (lead-in) and 12-14 (tie-ins) into the main book since they intertwined so closely with the main event.

Tie-ins included A-Force #8-10, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. #7-10, All-New All-Different Avengers #13-15, All-New Wolverine #10-12, Captain America: Sam Wilson #10-13, Captain America: Steve Rogers #4-6, Captain Marvel #6-10, Deadpool #14-18, Guardians of the Galaxy #11-13, International Iron Man #4, Invincible Iron Man #7-11 (lead-in) and 12-14 (tie-ins), Mockingbird #6-8, Ms. Marvel #7 (lead-in) and 8-11 (tie-ins), New Avengers #12-17, Nova #8-9. Patsy Walker A.K.A. Hellcat! #8, Power Man and Iron Fist #6-9, Rocket Raccoon and Groot #8-10, Scarlet Witch #9, Spider-Man (Miles Morales) #6-9, Spider-Man 2099 #13-16, Spider-Woman #9-11, Squadron Supreme #9-12, Thunderbolts #5, Totally Awesome Hulk #7-12. Ultimates #7 (lead-in) and 8-12 (tie-ins), Uncanny Avengers #13-14, Uncanny Inhumans #11-14, and Venom: Space Knight #11-12.

EVENT: Monsters Unleashed! (1973 – 2018) [1973 series, 2017 event & series, and other monster material]

Monsters Unleashed took advantage of an old Marvel IP from the 1970s to bring in some big and sometimes silly monsters to the modern Marvel universe, and a new young hero named Kid Kaiju.

This omnibus could collect that original 1970s, series, a small handful of monster-oriented one-shots from the 45 years between there and the event, the event and it’s tie-ins, and then a follo-wup ongoing series.

This would collect Monsters Unleashed (1973) #1-11, as well as some other classic monster material from Strange Tales (1951) #73, #89-90; Journey Into Mystery (1952) #62; Tales to Astonish (1959) #1, 11-13, 15, 17, 19, 23; and Tales of Suspense (1959) #15, 17, 19, 22

Then, it would add some intermediate monster material from Marvel Monsters: Monsters on the Prowl (2005) #1; Marvel Monsters: Devil Dinosaur (2005) #1; Marvel Monsters: Fin Fang Four (2005) #1; Marvel Monsters: Where Monsters Dwell (2005) #1; Marvel Monsters: From the Files of Ulysses Bloodstone (2005) #1; Fearless Defenders (2013) #8; Marvel Zombies (2015) #1; Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (2016) #1; Totally Awesome Hulk (2016) #2-3.

Finally, we’d get to the actual event, its “.1” tie-ins, and its following ongoing series with Monsters Unleashed (2017A) #1-5; Monsters Unleashed (2017B) #1-12; the point-one Monsters Unleashed issues (All-New X-Men #1.MU; Avengers #1.MU; Champions #1.MU; Doctor Strange #1.MU; Guardians of the Galaxy #1.MU; Spider-Man/Deadpool #1.MU; Totally Awesome Hulk #1.MU; Uncanny Inhumans #1.MU); Marvel Monsters (2019) #1.

EVENT: IvX – Inhumans vs. X-Men (2016 – 2017)

Inhumans vs. X-Men was a much tidier event than Civil War II thanks to the limited scope of only including tie-ins from the X-Men and Inhumans lines.

This would collect Death of X (2016) #1-4; Inhumans vs. X-Men (2016) #0-6; All-New X-Men (2016) #17-18; Deadpool & the Mercs for Money (2016B) #7-8; Extraordinary X-Men (2016) #17-19; Uncanny Inhumans (2015) #18-20; Uncanny X-Men (2016) #16-18.

EVENT: Secret Empire (2016 – 2017) [Includes Standoff; possibly Vol. 1 of 2]

Even though Captain America by Nick Spencer Vol. 2 contains the entire core of this event, it could still spin off into an exclusive event omnibus of its own… or, would that be two?

This would begin to collect prologue event of Avengers: Standoff, itself 16 issues, from Welcome To Pleasant Hill Prologue #1, Assault On Pleasant Hill Alpha #1, Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. #3-4, Uncanny Avengers #7, All-New All-Different Avengers #7-8, New Avengers #8-10, Captain America: Sam Wilson #7-8, Uncanny Avengers #8, Illuminati #6, Howling Commandos #6, Assault On Pleasant Hill Omega #1

The main body of the event consists of 21 issues – Secret Empire (2017) #0-10, Omega, & Free Comic Book Day 2017 (Secret Empire); Secret Empire: Brave New World (2017) #1-5, Secret Empire: United (2017) #1, Secret Empire: Underground (2017) #1, and Secret Empire: Uprising (2017) #1.

To that we’d definitely add 8 further tie-in issues also written by Nick Spencer, in Captain America #25, Captain America: Sam Wilson #22-24, & Captain America: Steve Rogers #16-19. And, a lot of this event tied in very closely with The Champions, so I think we’d want to include Champions #10-11 as well.

That brings us to 21 + 8 + 2 = 31 issues, minimum – with the option of including Standoff to bring us to 47 issues.

Then, there are a further 39 tie-in issues. They include All-New Guardians of the Galaxy Annual 1, Amazing Spider-Man #29-31, Avengers (2017) #9-10, Deadpool #31-35, Doctor Strange #21-24, Mighty Captain Marvel #5-8, Occupy Avengers #8-9, Secret Warriors #1-5, Thunderbolts #12, U.S.Avengers #5-9, Ultimates 2 #7, Uncanny Avengers #24-25, X-Men: Blue #7-9, and X-Men: Gold #7-8.

That’s a total of 70 issues even without Standoff.

There are also a further nine aftermath issues wrapping up the event – Avengers #11, Black Bolt #8, Champions #12, Deadpool #36, Secret Warriors #6-7, U.S.Avengers #10, Uncanny Avengers #26-27 – plus 10 “Generations” one-shots. That brings our potential total issues to 89, or 105 with Standoff included.

No matter how you slice it, that’s a tremendously large event. It could be presented as a Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, or as a main book and a companion. Since the map is unclear, we just included a general entry on the poll.

EVENT: Infinity Wars (2018 – 2019) [includes Countdown, Warps, & Secret Warps]

Infinity Wars was never properly collected, so it would be awesome to see the entire lead-in and event in one place along with all of the “Infinity Warps” and some epilogue material for a total of 61 issues!

First, this would collect 17 issues of the Infinity Countdown prologue from Infinity Countdown Prime (2018) #1; Infinity Countdown (2018) #1-5; Infinity Countdown: Adam Warlock (2018) #1; Infinity Countdown: Black Widow (2018) #1; Infinity Countdown: Captain Marvel (2018) #1; Infinity Countdown: Champions (2018) #1-2; Infinity Countdown: Daredevil (2018) #1; Darkhawk (1991) #51; Infinity Countdown: Darkhawk (2018) #1-4

Then, it would collect the 21 issues of Infinity Wars and its tie-ins from Doctor Strange (2018) #3; Infinity Wars Prime (2018) #1; Infinity Wars (2018) #1-6; Thanos Legacy (2018) #1; Asgardians of the Galaxy (2018) #1-5; Infinity Wars: Sleepwalker (2018) #1-4; Infinity Wars: Fallen Guardian (2018) #1; and Infinity Wars: Infinity (2019) #1.

To that it would add 12 issues of initial “”Warps”” character mash-up mini-series and one-shots, including Infinity Warps: Infinity Warps (2018) #1-2; Infinity Warps: Arachknight (2018) #1-2; Infinity Warps: Ghost Panther (2018) #1-2; Infinity Warps: Iron Hammer (2018) #1-2; Infinity Warps: Soldier Supreme (2018) #1-2; Infinity Warps: Weapon Hex (2018) #1-2.

Then, we’d continue to a later 6 issues of “”Secret Warps”””” annuals revisiting these characters, including: Secret Warps: Soldier Supreme Annual (2019) #1, Secret Warps: Weapon Hex Annual (2019) #1; Secret Warps: Ghost Panther Annual (2019) #1; Secret Warps: Arachknight Annual (2019) #1; Secret Warps: Iron Hammer Annual (2019) #1; and material from Free Comic Book Day 2018: The Amazing Spider-Man / Guardians of the Galaxy (2018) #1.

And, finally, if Marvel was feeling generous, could also include the epilogue: Wolverine: Infinity Watch (2019) #1-5.

EVENT: One World Under Doom (2025) [event & all tie-ins]

Doom anchored his own event in 2025 as the protagonist and… the hero? It depends on your perspective on Doom and his motivations, but Ryan North pens this event as if Doom has been right all along – which puts our favorite heroes in an interesting spot as they choose to oppose his new world order.

This would primarily collect One World Under Doom (2025) #1-9.

It would also collect all of the event tie-ins from The Amazing Spider-Man (2022) #69-70 (and optionally #61-68), Astonishing Avengers Infinity Comic (2025) #21-23, The Avengers (2023) #25-28, Avengers Academy: Marvel’s Voices Infinity Comic (2024) #43-45, Doctor Strange of Asgard (2025) #1-5, Doom Academy (2025) #1-5, Doom’s Division (2025) #1-5, Fantastic Four (2022) #28-33, Fantastic Four (2025) #1-3, G.O.D.S.: One World Under Doom (2025) #1, Iron Man (2024) #6-10 (and optionally #1-5), NYX (2024) #9, Red Hulk (2025) #1-10, Runaways (2025) #1-5, Storm (2024) #5, Superior Avengers (2025) #1-6, Thunderbolts: Doomstrike (2025) #1-5, Weapon X-Men (2025) #1, and X-Factor (2024) #7.

It could optionally include Doomed 2099 (2025) #1, Dungeons of Doom (2026) #1-3, Luna Snow: World Tour (2026) #1, and The Will of Doom (2025) #1, though that last comic has more to do with the next Marvel event.

If hypothetical, eventual Quasar, Namor, Fantastic Four, Warlock, or Inhumans omnis do not collect all of the tie-in material Starblast and Atlantis Rising could be combined into a nice Event omni

I really envision Quasar Vol. 2 having all of it as a nice padding out, but since we’re not mapping ahead we didn’t include it in the poll. However, we can include in the write-up!

I think your map for Secret Wars: Battleworld Vol. 4 (2015) is missing Secret Wars: Official Guide to the Marvel Multiverse

And there’s only 4 issues of the Thors and X-Tinction Agenda minis, respectively, and Ultimate End had 5 issues.

I have lots of thoughts on how a Civil War Omnibus series could work. Maybe model it on something like the infinity Gauntlet Omnibus. Start of with the prologue material in ASM 529-531, FF 536-537 and Civil War The Illuminati. Then have the entire main event appear in one book, alongside that we would collect the stories that directly reference, run alongside or intertwine with the main events in the best chronological order. For me this would be the rest of ASM, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, Captain America and Iron Man. Could also argue that Wolverine belongs in this first book as it’s events are referenced by the Submariner. The aftermath could then follow wilth Captain America 25, The Confession and Fallen Son.

This would cover characters and stories that have the most direct link to the emotional beats of the story. Then follow up volumes could collect the other material, maybe using the subtitles Casualties of War Vol 1 and Vol.2, as I believe this was the branding used on many of the issues at the time. To my memory lots of the other tie ins focused on characters we didn’t really see much of in the event series (Blade, Moon Knight) and or explored how actions of certain characters affected their friends and foes (the other Spider-Titles).

This probably isn’t a perfect solution, no map will make everyone happy. But think this at least starts to make sense.
