Near Mint Condition announced a Marvel omnibus for April 2027 that brings us within just three volumes away from completing a massive line of books that stretch from 1977 to 2014: Star Wars Legends: Legacy Omnibus Vol. 2!
Star Wars Legacy is effectively a “100 Years Later” period of potential future canon of the old Star Wars Universe that existed prior to the Sequel Trilogy and the start of Marvel’s new Star Wars comics continuity in 2015.
Star Wars Legends: Legacy Omnibus Vol. 2 will collect the remainder of Star Wars: Legacy (2006), adding the Star Wars: Legacy – War (2010) mini-series and the subsequent Star Wars: Legacy (2013) ongoing to wrap up the collection of this title.
With the collection of this remaining Star Wars Legacy material, we’re left waiting for just three more omnibuses in the Star Wars Legends line to complete its nearly 40 years of comics coverage:
- Star Wars Legends: The Menace Revealed Vol. 2 (1999-2005), which will conclude collecting period that runs alongside Episodes 1 and 2
- Star Wars Legends: Clone Wars Omnibus Vol. 2 (2000-2014), which will conclude collecting the period that occurs between Episodes 2-3.
- Star Wars Legends: The Clone Wars Adventures (2004-2014), an omnibus we’re not even sure Marvel can collect since it includes Magazine comic strips that we have never seen hit Epic Collection.
We usually see 2-5 Star Wars Legends omnibuses released each year. So far in 2027 we have Star Wars Legends: The Clone Wars Omnibus Vol. 1 (which was delayed from December 2026) and this new announcement for Star Wars Legends: Legacy Omnibus Vol. 2.
That leads me to believe we’ll see an announcement of Star Wars Legends: The Menace Revealed Omnibus Vol. 2 for the back half of 2027, with Star Wars Legends: Clone Wars Omnibus Vol. 2 coming early in 2028.
And, who knows if we’ll ever see The Clone Wars Adventures in omnibus!
