It’s official – Madonna is now a singer-songwriter by definition. Listening to her strum an acoustic guitar is the sum total of all i love about music. I scoff at all you naysayers! Her MP3 will be uploaded later for all to appreciate.

While hanging out with friends in Mount Airy on Friday night, i missed Madonna on Letterman Playing Guitar. I will give any amount of virtual love necessary in exchange for this gem in mp3 or mov format.
The interesting about college is that you can make up any history that you want. Really, that’s the interesting thing about anywhere you go. I can’t tell you how many times i heard freshman brag about all the alchohol they’d previously knocked back before getting trashed last night; they had selectively re-written their personal history so that it fit the image they were trying to project. I don’t personally begrudge them this right; in fact, i find it intriguing. I’ve personally rewritten quite a few of my highschool exploits through the virtue of mentioning them briefly and then staying mum about them. The silence i leave hanging lets people use their own imaginations, which writes me a much better history than the one i actually have brought with me. Of course, i’ve now re-established a solid history at Drexel over the past year. Whether that’s good or not, i don’t really know. I think the point might be that no matter how many times you rewrite your own history, you repeat it.
As for flirting… i’ve come to realize that the girl i’m interested is the type that can and will flirt with anyone, but could never commit herself to one boy because she’d lose the attention of all the others. And, while she does flirt a bit more outrageously with me, ultimately it’s probably because she feels less imminently threatened by my returned sexual advances. Oh well. Apparently she told me i had nice hair at Orientation.
