As of now i can’t really think of why i wasn’t eating meat for over two years. I mean, i know the reason, and it’s been documented in this very blog for all to see, but i don’t know why it became such a big part of my identity. Last night i had a chicken cheesesteak, for the first time in years. I loved every bite of it. In fact, i might have another one for dinner tonite! It’s hard to believe that just a week ago i would’ve turned my nose up in disgust at that sandwich (well, actually i’ve been drooling over such treats for about a month before finally giving in, but i think you get my point). It just goes to show you how people change… between my short hair, lack of shiny clothing, and omnivorous lifestyle, i’m not sure that people from highschool would even recognize me! I can’t wait for our five-year reunion :p

Do i look pudgy in that picture? I swear, i’m not pudgy… of course, with me eating meat again now there’s no telling what kind of weight i’ll balloon to. Actually, i’ll probably gain a few pounds and then drop a lot, because i’ll theoretically cut a lot of needless carbohydrates out of my diet. This summer was, like, 24/7 carbs. Yuck… after awhile you don’t get any more energy out of them, they just settle onto your ass.

No more cheddar ramen, ever. I’ve been doing some pretty shitty sounding trios, and it’s starting to bother me. It makes me seem like some self-important un-talented fuck who is pretentious enough to think that people care to listen to him sing out of key. But i’m not, really. It’s just that without a dorm full of friends to play a few songs for every week i am rapidly leaving my guitar on the sidelines, and this allows me to do a little performance. Furthermore, i can’t play the same song all the time, because it would get boring, so it’s incentive for me to keep working on new songs that i would typically ditch in favour of another repetition of “Crashing.” And, finally, keep in mind that i’m just recording through the teeny mic in my computer, and that i’m doing a live take with no stops or pickups. You might point out that doing a concert is at least that hard, but for me playing in front of people is the most comforting thing in the world. Being alone in this room with the computer… now that’s intimidating.

I’m eating this extremely bizaar cheddar cheese cup ‘o Ramen. I thought it was going to be ramen mac’n’cheese, but it’s just cheddar cheese soup. Very disturbing. I’m so hungry… also, i think Matt might have died or fallen asleep in the middle of a highway, because no one has heard from him in over 24 hours. While this is slightly upsetting, it does mean that i get to keep his electric guitar tuner, so i think i’m okay with it.

Ooo, happy linkage from random people! The definitely groovy Jehan at The Geek Diaries musta picked up on all of the friendly crossfire with May over at GeekGrrl, and now i’m one of her pieces of “cool sh*t”! That rocks! Anyhow, hopefully i won’t be getting incredibly sick from eating that sinful chicken sandwich anytime soon (oh, and it was sooo good), and maybe May will stop teasing me about being a “Veggie Boi.” Only time will tell us…
