I’m defeated. Even after changing the write permission of the archive file and its backup to “read only,” blogger went in and overwrote them. In fact, not only did it overwrite them, it changed their write permission altogether. I’m extremely impressed with Blogger’s ability to fuck with the settings of my server…
Meanwhile, why the hell does blogger have to totally destroy your archive index page every time you change some idiot little setting? I just changed settings to allow me to have four days’ worth of posts on the main page, and my archive disappeared. Luckily, i had a backup copy of the index file, so i just uploaded it and changed its permission to “read-only.” Ahh, the power i wield now! Not even the backwards machinations of blogger can defeat me!
lalala, so, this is now officially crush.uprush.org, which means i have to go fix my hit count on P.B again. Life is busy and dull. The domain is coming along slowly, although so far i am hosting Matt, Spoon & Muffin from IlOp, and SpaceKitten, who i have been a longtime fan of. That’s gonna do it for random hosting of nonestablished pages (SpaceKitten is the only one of the four with a page), but if you have a neat looking page and want to get hosted, just ask. I might have to charge something like $4 a month, but that’s still a better deal for hosting than you can get just about anywhere other than my old home, freespeech. Blah. I should do something constructive now…
I just recorded a fucking balls out rockin’ Trio all in one take. It got a little screwy on the first song, but i stuck in there, and now i’m finished. Listening to it to make sure i didn’t clip the microphone too bad, but it should be up before 6:30 if all goes well.
