If anyone can explain setting up a webcam to refresh every 20 seconds to me uber-simply, please email me. I am looking into getting a cam, but i don’t quite understand what’s involved.

Do i look pudgy in that picture? I swear, i’m not pudgy… of course, with me eating meat again now there’s no telling what kind of weight i’ll balloon to. Actually, i’ll probably gain a few pounds and then drop a lot, because i’ll theoretically cut a lot of needless carbohydrates out of my diet. This summer was, like, 24/7 carbs. Yuck… after awhile you don’t get any more energy out of them, they just settle onto your ass.

all the beautiful hair is gone, and my nose is actually much bigger than that if you’re not looking at it head on. oh yeah, and i’m not that cute. otherwise, that’s an accurate representation of me.

Sus just took one look at my infamously cute Orientation picture and said “whos this eddie-vedder looking mutha?” I dunno what that’s supposed to make me feel… but, i have chopped off my hair since then, so the resemblance should be gone. Damn, i ought to have a webcam…. lemme try to make the picture a little smaller so i can post it.

Rock on!!!
Ok, err… backing up a step, i’ve decided to finally take the plunge and try to organize a weblog / performance area for songwriters on the internet. I’ve always wanted to do something like this, but so far i’ve been the only writer i’ve ever seen who primarily publishes on the ‘net (other than on MP3.com). However, Jehan and AndreTorrez (both linked on the sidebar, you lazy bum) have both expressed interest in the project, and having two great essayist/designers on board feels really damned good. So, if you or a friend might be interested, the place to look is http://uprush.org/DIY/. I don’t have any plans on starting before December, so there’s plenty of time to ask me questions and consider. But, ideally i’d love to have five or more active internet musicians who just randomly log about anything, but then once a week submit an audio file of a new performance. Of course, this supposes that people have recording facilities of some sort at their disposal, but all you really need is a 4-track or a mic on your computer. After a few weeks of random songs, we might actually attempt some songwriting challenges (wow, is this starting to sound like the Making the Band version of SurvivorBlog?). So, stay tuned, and i’ll keep y’all updated!
