My currently questionable status as a vegetarian aside, why must otherwise vegetarian foods use meat by-products for flavour? I just ate a Budget Gourmet stir fry dinner whose flavouring was made with chicken fat. The average consumer might not care, but to me it smelled like cat-food. I am off the opinion that you shouldn’t use meat for flavour unless necessary. I mean, why make us poor vegetarians examine the small print of your ingredients even when our meal only contain rice and string beans? Worse yet are restaurants who use bacon in their otherwise only vegetarian dishes and refuse to alter their recipes. Victims are usually potato skins, broccoli bites, chilli, bean dip, and tortilla soup.

After updating the about page i’ve moved on to actually working on the cast page. Try to remain calm. I’ll make sure to let you know as soon as i upload it (although you’ll be able to tell when the link on the sidebar goes live). Until then, either read the archive or surf from the sidebar.

Spoon (from IlOp) and I are bemoaning the fact that everyone else thinks we’re asexual or gay. Aside from the potential self esteem boosts i would get from heading to the “queer night” at the local clubs, i’m not really enjoying my status.

Kudos to MTV for giving the unique Macy Gray the Best New Artist award rather than some of the knockoffs she was against. She even had a hand in writing every song on her album! Of course, i was rooting for Pink, since she’s from around here, but…

And, in an example of highly efficient packing, all of my underwear was already packed and sent to my new apartment. I just had a wandering moment when exitting the shower looking for undergarments when the thought struck me, but then i remembered that i bought two new pair when i went shopping last weekend and had yet to send any of the contents of my shopping bag to the dorm. So, two pair of underwear, and two days left at home. What a beautiful day this is shaping up to be.
