I have this uncanny knack for wearing corduroys when it rains. When i put them on yesterday morning it was nice outside, though a bit chilled, but it managed to rain all night so i wound up looking and feeling like a damp piece of shag carpeting. We finally found our way to the indoor clues, at which point i knew i was going to get sick, and that made me all the more manic and anxious to get the hunt over with. I finally found a hot chocolate machine on the 7th floor of one of the engineering buildings, and after that everything got better.

I felt a bit sick because i was out in the rain for quite a while last night. If i could have helped it i’m sure i would’ve made my way inside by the time it really started to come down, but it was the night of Pi Nu Epsilon’s scavenger hunt for the new members, and all the brothers and sisters of the fraternity come out to participate and hang out with the pledges. Anyhow, our hunt was on a balmy Spring evening, but the Fall class had no such luck, and so we ran to and fro all over campus with cameras in the rain. Early on in the sequence of events i sent my guitar home with someone who had work to do, so at least it wouldn’t be soggy when i got back to my apartment.

I apologize for my temporary absences; i typically do take Monday & Wednesday off because of school work, but after that huge rush of posts this weekend i feel as though i’m responsible for a letdown. I did wind up writing that song, though, so hopefully i’ll record it tonight and post it. I slept through my Recording Studio class today because i felt a bit sick, and the sleeping was helping. Afterward i realized we had a test, which might have subliminally had something to do with the sleeping, but i’m not sure. The funny thing about that class is that i’m great at all the studio stuff, but i keep getting B’s on the tests. I can’t stand that… but, i aced yet another C++ test, so all’s well. I still have a 100% in my C++ class — i wish i could take 10% off of it and spread it around to the rest of my classes

I can only remember being killed in a dream one other time recently, and that time i woke up immediately because i had been abruptly cut out of the narrative of the dream. Don’t ask me how i managed to stick around this time … i think it was just the Benadryl keeping me drowsy. I woke up a few times in the middle and then dove right back in, as if coming up for air momentarily. I popped right up at 8am though, and even made it to class on time. Imagine that.
