Well, i suppose if i have to lose the Best Music Project award to someone it ought to be Danica, who has raised over a grand for RAINN while streaming tens of dozens of songs over her internet radio station. But, really, do you want to see me lose after i spent all day sitting on my floor recording new songs while everyone else got to sit around and enjoy and bask in the Blogathon?
This is where i have to start stripping on the webcam, isn’t it?

Everything has taken on its own sheen in my room as the fan sucks in cool moist are from the outside. Elise is sitting on my bed trying to tune her clarinet, Jack and Karen are somewhere else in the house observing the ‘thon action from a safe distance, and Lindsay and Kate left to pick up groceries for the dinner i’ll be mooching off of later.
All this activity is so strange compared to last year when Gina would stop by my apartment every so often with a guitar or butterscotch cookies. This year i have an entire handful of people who want to contribute to my songs, and i have roommate and friends who donated to my charity, and i have a state of the art 8-track mixer so that i’m not singing into the miserable little speaker in the front of my moniter. It’s still a little lonely, though, even with my obsessive checking of statistics and having surfed halfway around the ring already.
Well, at least i found two new linkers: Speechless and Lynne @ Ursie, who specifically complimented Lindsay on her harmonies. Go L-dawg!

Elise just read her Snapple lid, and it says if you keep a goldfish in a dark room it will eventually turn white. Meanwhile, imagine my surprise to load up Weblog Wannabe to find myself featured in Firda’s new haiku! Firda and i have traded links a few times in the past, but she’s apparently avoided listening to my vocal talents [sic] up until now. In other linky news, Rabi has deferred to Mollie, Alex, and i to provide content to her many readers for the weekend. Also, Haya got a chance to listen to me in the last few hours, during which she’s also discussed her impending attendance of a school that, like Drexel, features a co-operative learning program. Oh, and Undisturbed returned my link already. Right back at ya, babe. Again! And, last in my kiss-ass link-back program, the impeccably designed All Blogged Up and Nowhere to Go linked me even before the ‘thon got underway, even deigning to mention my nekkid ass.
I don’t know when nekkidness will come into play, but Jack is sitting in my lawn chair right now making up dirty limericks. I think my extended cast of roommates might be weirder than all of the other ‘thonners combined. Not even counting the ferrets…

Where is all the linky love? I mean, sure, there are over two hundred people blogging right now as if their lives depended on it, but i’m not seeing a whole lot of crosslinking going on. How else are we all expected to mock each other through the dead of the night?
In my continued trip around the ring Brad Walsh is blogging for RAINN, and he’s featuring lots of Tori Amos content, including the cover of her new album’s sampler disc! Meanwhile, Moveable Beast seems to be posting pictures of all the places she’s lived during her life… definitely an interesting one to follow. Syncopate‘s nifty coffee cup caught my eye while i cruised through the ring to this which just made me laugh.
