Somes links i’ve been keeping to myself… first, Alex, who’s apparently going through a similar crappy point in his life right now. Rock on, Alex. Meanwhile, you should read Bertie’s new log if you haven’t already; she won SurvivorBlog for a reason, you know. In other news, the incredibly cute (jailbate, i’m sure) Ryan has a follow-up journal to his now-defunct Shock Treatment, which showed off his blue eyes a bit better. And, while we’re snooping around LiveJournal, i bet you haven’t read Leigh in forever. That’s okay, though, because i hadn’t either. Finally, Alayna keeps sending me attentive visitors, so you should return the favour. Oh, and visit our newest hostee at riot.uprush.org. Ok… i think that’s all for now…

Tee-hee! Looks like Tom is getting ensnared in the life of another real person. I’ve got to say that i’m rather happy for him, as it’s always cute to read as bloggers slowly fall into like (or love, or whatever) with someone (and i can’t say it’s awful reading about fleeting liplocks and exchanged numbers… it makes me feel like i get out more than i actually do. Which i don’t. Which is funny, because i can really be a voyeur within the walls of my own apartment without employing my clumsy pair of binoculars. But, i digress…). Of course, it’s never fun to read about them falling out. So, erm… Tom, please just get married after your first few dates so you don’t subject us to any misery later on down the line – though i have to say that this nervous business about calling him is downright adorable. And, Tom? Please do try not to drool down your chin… and have fun.

If i didn’t enjoy airing every joy, loss, and tear so much with you all, i might fall in love with So There, a seemingly anonymous collection of letters never sent with one added once every day. Of course, by writing those letters on here sometimes they effectively “get sent” in one fashion or another, which is probably why giving So There a piece of me is a little scary … it would really be admitting that i’d never get sent. In actual cool news, Kevin from SurvivorBlog and Fury.com won the award for Best Humor/Satire site of 2000 at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival (which i was hoping to attend; maybe next year?). He nabbed the award despite being an alternate finalist, which is especially cool, and he was also invited to speak on a panel about humor on the internet. He won for his highly amusing creation aoLiza, which is essentially an automated IM name that can endlessly prattle back and forth with you without really giving away that no one is actually listening. The humor can be found in the random people who IM Liza just for fun, and the conversations which ensue. Kevin offers a much better explanation on his site, so you ought to go read.
Isn’t it neat when i have award-winning friends and linkees? Now i’ve just got to ask Kevin who i have to fuck to get nominated for something next year :p
