Ani’s new songs are good, but not really satisfying the way that new songs have been in the past. There’s always a definite difference between songs debuted before a summer tour and after a summer tour (“Wish I May” vs “Swing” or “FreakShow”), since the past few years she’s been recording in that break. This year she didn’t appear to record in that time; was she writing all that time?
