Meanwhile, i think i finally sorta learned how to flirt. Like… we all went to Denny’s last night, and i kept giving the girl at the table across from us sexy eyes and then she started staring back and stuff. It’s cause i did my hair all sexy, i wish you could see it so you could appreciate it.

Err… in case it wasn’t clear, i wasn’t directly implicated in the split lip … reading that entry over it almost makes it seem like i punched her and then contemplated using that pick up line, which i think portrays me as slightly more desperate then i usually come across. However, don’t totally discount the invitation to punch me in the lip. Especially if you’re cute.

Have you ever asked someone with a bruised lip if you could kiss it to make it better? It seemed like such a good idea at the time (while staring at the cutest swelled lip i’ve ever seen in my life, as swelled lips go), but in retrospect i’m not sure how well it would’ve went over. Someone ought to punch me in the lip and then ask me if i want a kiss to see how i react…

Pi Nu Epsilon is a cool group of people because you know you have one overriding truth in common with everyone else in the Fraternity: you love music. Maybe you love to be in the spotlight, or to hold down the rhythm, or just to sit back inbetween your parts and listen, but it’s an uncommon comfort in relating to relative strangers that you know they swoon for a sweet melody the same way you do. Another interesting aspect of finally meeting our three other chapters is that they’re approximately three quarters female because both their bands and schools are predominantly female (whereas Drexel, primarily being an engineering and technology school, is almost to the point of an even gender split). I went over rather well for not knowing a single person (the first comment out of my mouth after our dizzying and frigid dorm-to-dorm dash search for the other members was “That was the worst fucking game of hide-and-go-seek i’ve every played.”), and i (as a matter of course) developed a crush on one of my sisters from another chapter in about ten minutes flat. Overall, the people were cool, we got stuff done, and i ate a whole freakin’ lot of red meat. I think i gained 10 pounds. Uck. But, hey, i looked dead sexy the whole time.

Working at the Coffee Shop is like acting on a teevee show in six-hour increments. While i’m behind the counter all of the problems of school and friends slip away so that all that’s left is the idle banter between myself and my coworkers and customers. In fact, we refer to certain combination of people behind the counter as their own sort of show… Josh and I are the Josh and Pedro Show while Sara and I are some sort of manic comedy act unleashed upon the poor unsuspecting business world. While there, small flirtations i made while away from the shop turn into full-blown plot elements so much that they bare no relationship to my actually life and instead seem like some sort of soap-opera script. And all of the problems i encounter at the shop? They fade away by the time i step onto the magical trolley that transports me back into the rest of my life. And here i am.
