You know what i totally don’t understand? Trying to be someone you aren’t (ie: more attractive, less obnoxious) to try to lure someone into your personal web of romance. Sure, it’s nice in theory, but if you have any serious intentions with someone would you really think you can hide those awful character traits forever? Face it, babe, the annoying laugh or the fact that you actually aren’t charming at all are going to be obvious any day once you finally get a relationship going. Call me naive, but i’d rather just stay honest straight through the day and meet someone that way. It’s bound to happen eventually…

So, in true Krisis form, i was chatting with this incredibly cute inebriated girl last night, and she was sorta hanging on me more than i typically expect any person to want to hang on me. However, seeing as she was drunk, i just continued to have a conversation with her and eventually (after shaking my hand no less than 10 times) she left to go hang on someone else while i reflected that she was terribly cute and that it’s a shame it felt as thought it would be morally bankrupt to flirt with her.


Twenty minutes later we found her in a bedroom with the lead singer of the band. I had to open the door with a broom to make sure i didn’t get entangled in their little tryst. Eventually we locked her in a bathroom (she was gonna be in there a while anyhow, trust me) while the lead singer desperately tried to find her and then left in a haze of rock’n’roll.

For now on i think i’m going to conduct all flirting via this page. I mean, between the passive aggressiveness and the lack of self-confidence i’m not gonna get anywhere any other way, right? So… um… if you’re someone i’m currently supposed to be flirting with, what’s your sign?

I see those commercials for holiday sales on jewelry and just have this really overwhelming urge to go and buy some. And not for me, either! Ever since i lost my Tori necklace i haven’t worn a single piece of decoration. Anyhow, i don’t think diamond stud earrings would look that good on me. But, i haven’t got anyone to buy such nice gifts for :(…

So, Matt ratted me out in regards to how entrancing i believe Rabi at WockerJabby to be, and through the magic of referral logs she {of course} read it. I just hope she doesn’t think i’m stalking her or anything; i just think she’s really neat.

What’s sorta interesting in the light of Matt’s accusation that i’m obsessed with Rabi is that i’m not obsessed with anyone. No one. And, as much as i whine and bitch and moan about being only obsessed with myself, i tend to fall for people. I fall hard. That’s why this is called crushing krisis … it just works on so many levels. But, not being obsessed is a healthy phenomenon. As much fun as it might be, and as conducive to songwriting as it might be, if i can’t give a girl space just within my crush on her, how could i ever realistically be romantically involved with her?

This whole lack of an obsessive center thing made it hard for me to title the new layout for AMkitchen. I joke constantly that whoever gets the majority of songs written about them on my next demo will get it named after them, but in a way it’s true; i gauge the emotional center of my current performance staples by who they’re about, and inevitably one songs becomes the center of all the others. For the majority of this year that song was “Under My Skin,” but lately i’m just not feeling it as much as i used to when i played it. So, looking at the spread of images from this past summer that are currently illustrating my website, i found myself at a loss for a name or a title song. I wound up naming the new layout ‘resolve,’ because above anything else my writing recently has been showing a sense of resolution. I feel resolved, and I have resolve. Resolve.
