Rabi flings her opinion into the fray:

I’m against alcohol-induced hookups, for most of the same reasons you mentioned in your post. but completely sober one night stands can be very meaningful, in their own way. I think. not every relationship is intended for longtermness, and just as it takes a special pairing to last a year or more in a committed relationship, it takes a special pairing to make a single night significant and resonant, emotionally as well as physically. and it can happen.

that said, I think most one night stands are probably pretty pointless, emotionally. people don’t treat them with the respect they deserve.

Of course, not everyone has to agree with Rabi (just me), so feel free to add your own opinion to the mix.

Hmm… much in the way i was being randomly dramatic and pissy in January rather than tell anyone about my burgeoning relationship with Selina, both Meg and Rabi are being hopelessly obscure without really revealing what’s been going on. Meg seems to have had a lovely weekend that resulted in all sorts of loathing and doubt, and Rabi is contemplating an upcoming uprooting of some sort (but what kind?). Very mysterious, and certainly intriguing. I guess we’ll all have to keep reading…

Thank the dear lord, Andre Torrez is back and i’m as in love with him as ever! His writing is incredible, and he actually talks about life, something i’m usually too afraid to comment upon. And, speaking of people i’m in love with, you ought to go read about how Rabi (or is it Audrey?) was almost arrested for some sort of fraud or something. It figures… any girl as cool as Rabi would have to be a world class spy or super-villainess.

I am nothing if not a whore for links, so here’s a little something to catch y’all up on who else has been wasting time on my page. Firstly, longtime favourite Matt Pollard sent me some lovely linky love out of nowhere last week, and i never let Matt’s love go unreturned. Also, continuing link-love exists from Matt, DayZero, ClosetBoy, SavvyMel, & the darling May. Oh, plus Rabi still knows i exist, and she covered yesterday’s inclement weather much better than i did (which was not at all).

Next, i was randomly totally flattered by this site, which lists me as one of the writer’s top10 favourite blogs. Isn’t that sweet? I honestly thought all my visitors were my friends snooping around trying to pick up tidbits about my girlfriend that i won’t tell them in real life…

In the realm of SurvivorBlog2, we just got linked from my all-time favourite omni-present homosexual british net-guru Tom@PlasticBag. So, maybe that somehow sorta-kinda means he might know who i am in an obscure and indifferent way. And, that makes me all tingly inside. Fellow sBlogger Ryan actually has my link featured prominently on his splash page, which rocks! Ditto for Alayna (who i’m madly in love with) & Erik (who even used my link button!), Finally, KevRock from Fury.com (also from the Sblog2 Peanut Gallery) linked a whole bunch of my content without actually leaving any love for my own site, but i’ll take any mention i can get in the midst of his sexy mix of technology and, um, sexiness.

Finally, i’d like to just wish Re from Beautiful Freak the best as she takes a little break from logging. We’ll still love you when you come back, babe.

Wheeee!!!!!! WockerJabby is now the official best kept secret blog of the 2001 Bloggie Awards. Hopefully Rabi won’t be too big of a secret for very much longer… though she was definitely the best. And, in the very next category, Ernie of SurvivorBlog hosting fame won for best new weblog! Go ErnDawg! Also, the always terrifying Disturbing Search Requests pulled in a few nods of its own, which rocks, because i’m one of the posters there and have been for quite a while. Coolness.
