Year 01
“I think the mouse is in the closet…”
“We have a gay mouse?”
“Well, most of my friends think you’re gay, so…”
It was at that point that i smacked Matt (aka Ethlin) with a flip-flop i was wielding against our new rodent friend. I think Amy (aka Zooey) was standing on the couch at that point, although i had offered her my stool. That was about the extent of the action, except for when i moved all of our stuff into the middle of the room to make sure the mouse wasn’t hiding behind anything.
Took a few days off from the blog… and look what happens… blah. When i was little i never got sick from eating too many sweets; i just chalked it up to another myth parents use to keep the kids in line. Of course, now i’m nauseous from eating Reese’s Bites all day. Maybe parents just forget what it was like to be a kid, and assume that they always got sick from eating sweets.
Such forgetfulness could be the theme of the day, the way it looks so far.

Wow, and it’s so hard to be an introvert when you know every fifth person you see on the street. Not that i’m a hardcore introvert, but i have my own little only-child thought-world that i occupy most of the time and i haven’t been spending a whole lot of time there lately. The odd thing is, i really love my introversion in a way and i’m much happier without it, but i miss it if i don’t get enough alone time. Alone time is guitar time, and webpage time, and fantasy time. I have so many worlds in my head it’s a wonder i can support it upon my neck and shoulders.
Trio: Season 1, #3
I suppose for all my fucking up, Trio is a very true thing. For example, last week i made it through two songs perfectly, and then turned in a fun but flawed version of a third song. My playing is obviously not always up to concert quality, and by posting the first live take that i make it through i show some of the thoughts (musical and actual) behind the songs. Sure, i might have messed up all three songs tonight, but wasn’t listening to it more fun, in a way, than listening to some glistening album cut? Maybe that’s just my love of Ani and Tori showing through, and maybe that’s a bit strange for someone who’s a fan of good music, but i love outtakes. And, rest assured, Trio is heavy on those.
