Captain America Omnibus Mapping | 14th Annual Tigereyes Most-Wanted Marvel Omnibus Poll

February 10, 2026 by krisis 4 Comments

Tigereyes Most Wanted Marvel Omnibus 2026 - Captain America Omnibus Mapping - Captain America 2023 0016Once every year, thousands of Marvel collectors from around the world gather together online to watch Near Mint Condition and vote on their most-wanted omnibus titles. That time approaches – time for the Tigereyes Most Wanted Marvel Omnibus 14th Annual Secret Ballot! This post explains every Captain America omnibus for material that has not yet been collected comprehensively in omnibus – all of which will appear as options on the 2026 poll.

That also includes omnibus volumes for Falcon, Winter Soldier, and Nomad!

As one of the organizers of the poll, I work closely with Tigereyes and a team of Mapping Minties to be sure Marvel’s entire publishing history has been mapped, with every issue fitting somewhere into an omnibus volume to fill your oversize Marvel shelf. Then, we’ll kick off the poll on Near Mint Condition on March 22, 2026.

In 2026, Marvel announced a pair of key Captain America omnibus volumes, both of which fill critical gaps in his omnibus coverage. The first, Captain America Vol. 5, means we’re now just one book away from Captain America omnibus mapping taking us through through the 1990s! And the other, Black Widow & Captain America By Waid & Samnee Omnibus, is a clever combo that plugs a minor gap between the existing omnis for Nick Spencer and Ta-Nehisi Coates.

However, that still leaves us with some critical gaps in Cap coverage – both in his main title mapping as well as with some supporting series for both Steve Rogers and his supporting cast.

Read this post and others in the series for a list of titles and omnibus mappings created by a group of the biggest collected edition enthusiasts on the internet. Every map is informed by Crushing Krisis comic guides and over a decade of polling data as explained by yours truly – keeper of the most-definitive guides to Marvel’s collected editions on the planet! That includes guides to Avengers from every era – from the first volume of Avengers (1963) through Avengers flagships from 2010 to Present, and everything in between.

Even if you don’t own a single omnibus, you can use this post to learn about Marvel’s history of material and find great comics to read physically or digitally!

Avengers Omnibus Mapping | 14th Annual Tigereyes Most-Wanted Marvel Omnibus Poll

Then, we’ll kick off the poll on Near Mint Condition on March 22, 2026.

Marvel gave us three Avengers omnibuses in 2026: the classic-era Avengers Vol. 6, collecting through 1979; New Avengers by Brian Bendis Vol. 3, finishing the collection of that title (but leaving us with two more books of Bendis material still to collect); and Avengers: No Surrender / No Road Home, a somewhat surprising combo of a pair of blockbuster weekly events (one starring Conan!)

While those three books come off of the poll, some new ones got added – including coverage for the now-concluded runs of Avengers (2023) by Jed MacKay, West Coast Avengers (2024) #1-10 by Gerry Duggan, and the GLAAD Award-winning Avengers Academy: Marvel’s Voices Infinity Comic (2024) by Anthony Oliveira

Debating the best Marvel Compendium Launch Line – LIVE on Near Mint Condition

December 19, 2025 by krisis Leave a Comment

Are you ready to rumble? Today – December 19, I’m live with Near Mint Condition to debate the books Marvel ought to publish if they launch a speculated paperback Compendium line.

It’s the stream that is half serious recommendations, half a cut-throat game show of all of us trying to block other people’s recommendations so that all of our own make the list.

What made our list? Tune in to find out!

Guide to Stranger Things comics & novels – now available to all readers!

November 27, 2025 by krisis Leave a Comment

Happy Thanksgiving from the Upside Down (and by the Upside Down, I mean New Zealand)! To celebrate the holiday and the release of the final season of Stranger Things, I’m excited to release the only complete guide to the Stranger Things expanded universe on the internet: my Guide to Stranger Things Comics & Novels! This guide was made possible through the support of Patrons of Crushing Krisis!

Guide to Stranger Things Comics & Novels

Guide to Stranger Things Comics & Novels

If you’ve only ever watched Stranger Things on Netflix, you might be asking, “Does we even need a Guide to Stranger Things? How much other stuff is there?”

Well, I’ve got some news for you! There have been over 50 issues of Stranger Things comics over a dozen different volumes, a series of adult novels, a series of YA novels, junior novelizations of the show, script books for each season, and even a “Choose Your Own Adventure” book!

A Stranger Things poster showing the four primary character as we met them in Season 1, though the looming monster in the clouds suggests some of the additional actions that have unfurled if you follow a complete Stranger Things viewing order & reading guide.

Not only that, but none of those Stranger Things expanded universe tie-ins were released in order of continuity, and no other source on the internet puts them all in story order and explains their placement. Nope, not even the incredibly-detailed Stranger Things wiki – trust me, I checked.

What’s so fascinating to me about Stranger Things tie-ins is the way The Duffer Brothers have managed the expansion of their story universe. Novels tend to stick closest to the lore of the show, but focus on expanding unseen moments of character history that occured before the show. YA novels always fill in character development for the core cast between the seasons. And, comics explore the wide range of adventures the kids get into that don’t involve the Upside Down (as well as expand the plot of the other lab kids and the background on the Russian plot).

None of that is required if you just want to watch the show. But, whether you just want to spend more time with your favorite character or are craving as many Stranger Things stories as possible, the Guide to Stranger Things Comics & Novels has got you covered. It’s one of over 250 guides that are part of Crushing Comics, which covers Marvel, DC, indie, and liscenced comic books with hand-curated guides to collecting and reading every story.
