It’s another slightly scary new guide for Patrons of CK. This one is for something I love outside of comics – so much that I’ve actually written a few blog posts about it! I’ve also kept up with its comics for years, and when I searched the web for a complete guide I came up with nothing. Nada. Zero. Even the supposed main Wiki is missing tons of information and guidance. Well, we all know what happens next – I make a new guide! No guide on the internet has every put every TV Season, Novel, and Comic Book in order … until now, in my brand new Guide to Stranger Things Comics & Novels!

I know what you’re asking yourself: Is Stranger Things really this complicated? Can you just… watch the show and then read the comics?

My friend, I need you to roll for Perception… with disadvantage!

That’s because the comics have never told a story in continuity order. The jump between seasons and tell prequel stories, with occasional one-shots set during seasons and their epilogues. Then, adult novels have added more prequel stories, but YA novels have told stories that overlap seasons – which doesn’t count the junior novelizations of the seasons themselves.

No wonder no other guide has ever gotten this right. Just like Nancy’s relationship with Jonathan and Joyce’s relationship with Hopper, it’s complicated.

Whoa, two weeks in a row? It’s true, Crushers – I’m back with a new X-Men guide for all Patrons of CK! This character’s core collections have been tracked on another longstanding Crushing Comics guide, but I felt like shoe-horning him into another guide did him a disservice. There wasn’t room for all of his guest-appearances, or to discuss the distinct periods of his continuity – from his modern classic introduction to his satisfying end. Plus, per usual, I couldn’t find any other guide who explained things the right way – not even Wikipedia! Thus, I bring you my brand new Guide to Old Man Logan!

It was fine to leave Old Man Logan as a brief footnote in my Guide to Wolverine – Logan when we just had his original Mark Millar story – which was the case for the first five years of my Wolverine Guide!

However, once Brian Bendis delivered Old Man Logan into the present day via Secret Wars (2015), I’ve never loved the idea of his modern adventures being shoved into the main Logan guide. With 13 collected arcs to his name plus equally as many team appearances, it’s been clear to me for several years that Old Man Logan needed a guide of his own – which was emphasized when Marvel spun off several other books featuring the “Wastelanders” of his potential alternate future!

After months of adventures and misadventures too many to detail in this intro, a random YouTube stream appearance and a dig through my impressive stacks of back issues led me to dig into this much-needed guide. This indie femme fatale has over 30 years of confusing history across more than 60 in-continuity series plus dozens of pin-up issues and art books. No guide on the internet has ever explained her hellish continuity in perfect reading order… until now, thanks to my brand new Guide to Lady Death!

If you have listened to any of my YouTube streams about comics, you know I love my 90s comics heroines – who were entirely synonymous with voluptuous cheesecake art. And, if there was one female anti-hero created in the 90s who was the utter epitome of the decade, it was Lady Death.

She has long been on my wishlist of potential hellish guides for the Halloween season. But, it wasn’t until appearing on a stream with Cliff On Comics a few weeks ago where I got into Lady Death quick drag live on camera that I was inspired to tackle her guide.

It was quite a task – no guide has taken longer to research in the 2020s except my Guide to the Green Lantern Corps!
