I’ll be covering Marvel’s entire publishing history by mapping missing omnibus volumes to fill in every gap in your Marvel oversize shelf! That’s all leading to the kickoff of the Tigereyes Most Wanted Marvel Omnibus 13th Annual Secret Ballot on Near Mint Condition on April 28, 2025.

With Marvel printing omnibus volumes like Godzilla, ROM, and Micronauts in the past year, it seems clear that all bets are off in terms of what past licenses they’re willing to pursue for reprint in omnibus form.

This post addresses comics that Marvel originally published but does not own the full intellectual property rights to at this time. Could Marvel republish them? Anything is possible with enough demand from fans.

Marvel has already taken advantage of their ability to reprint classic FOX properties like Alien, Predator, and Planet of the Apes. But, there are so many more comics that they potentially have the ability to reprint in the wake of Disney’s 2019 acquisition of 20th Century Fox.

Not only are there more comics from all three of those franchises that Marvel might now be able to print, but also popular comics from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (& Angel), The Simpsons, and The X-Files!

Plus, while Indiana Jones is actually a LucasFilm property, we’ve included it here as well.

There’s always money in Star Wars, and in 2025 Marvel announced four omnibuses – two in current canon (Star Wars: Doctor Aphra: Friends & Enemies & Star Wars: Crimson Reign) and two in Legends retired canon (Star Wars Legends: The Old Republic Vol. 2 & Star Wars Legends: The Rebellion Vol. 3).

While there remains an open-ended potential for omnis in current Star Wars canon, there’s a finite amount of Legends material. Ignoring the far-future “Legacy,” we need only six more Legends omnibus volumes to cover the remaining Dark Horse Comics material – plus however many we need to collect all of Clone Wars Adventures.

The Krisis Pick of the Week: This is a hard call between an intriguing #1 and a #2 I am desperate to read, but I have to give it to Matthew Rosenberg’s We’re Taking Everyone Down with Us (2025) #2. Issue #1 was a perfect comic book – something I’ve been waiting to read from Rosenberg ever since being introduced to him in the absolutely perfect 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank nearly a decade ago. However, I am also extremely hype for Lost Fantasy (2025) #1 from Curt Pires!

This post includes every comic out from Image Comics this week on April 30 2025, plus collected editions. This isn’t the typical comic releases post you can find on other sites. Why? I explain each collection and comment on every series with a new issue out this week to help you figure out if they’re for you.
