DC Omnibus Fantasy Draft 2027 – Predicting Next Year’s DC Omnis (& you can too!)

Did you love my Marvel Omnibus Fantasy Draft, where I did a deep dive into the data of Marvel’s complete history of omnibus releases so we could play a guessing game about what they might release in 2027? Well, due to popular demand by CK viewers, now I’m back with the same game for DC. It’s the first ever DC Omnibus Fantasy Draft!

To put this together, I carefully tracked and tagged EVERY omnibus ever released by DC – noting releases dates, featured characters, years covered, and more. With that data, I created a model of what a typical year of DC omnibus releases looks like. Then, based on that model, I made my own predictions for the 52 omnis DC might release in 2027.

There has never been a more comprehensive look at DC’s history of omnibus releases! Plus, you can benefit from all of my research by playing the home version of the game and building your own ballot!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: Despite being excited for several comics this week, this is an easy pick – The New Gods (2024) #3! Just the idea of seeing one more page of Evan Cagle’s artwork colored by Francesco Segala makes me giddy, which says nothing of the intergalactic mystery of this story.

This post includes every comic out from DC Comics February 19 2025, plus collected editions in omnibus, hardcover, paperback, and digest-sized formats.

Debating our Evergreen Batman Omnibus List – LIVE on Near Mint Condition

Near Mint Condition Evergreen Batman Omnibus ListAre you ready to rumble? Tomorrow – Thursday May 23 @ 6:30 PM US ET, I’m live with Near Mint Condition to share my Evergreen Batman Omnibus List – that means the Batman books should never go out of print!

Of course, I’m not a noted Batman fan, so what do I have to contribute to this debate? Well, over the past several weeks of DC Omnibus mapping I made time to read a handful of issues from every single Batman & Bat-Family omnibus ever printed by DC. Not only did I want to make an informed vote, I wanted to be able to joust with all of our many merry guests!

I’ll be co-hosting this debate with Uncanny Omar of Near Mint Condition, featuring  Jess the Omnidog, Lars of Mad Norwegian Press, Jake from The Brave & The Boys, Wonder Maddie from NMC’s Old Reader / New Reader, and even more distinguished panelists. We will each share our 3 picks for Batman & Bat-Family evergreen omnibus volumes… and then we’ll fight tooth and nail over our officially endorsed Evergreen Batman Omnibus List of 10 books. Plus, viewers on the live stream will get to have their say to correct our mistakes and choose their own fan vote!

It’s the stream that is half serious recommendations, half a cut-throat game show of all of us trying to block other people’s recommendations so that all of our own make the list.
