One World Under Doom

Marvel Omnibus Announcement: One World Under Doom Omnibus

June 24, 2026 by krisis Leave a Comment

One World Under Doom (2025) #5 (of 9), a Marvel Comics June 11 2025 new releaseNear Mint Condition announced another Marvel omnibus for March 2027, and this omnibus is an all-in-on version of a massive storyline whose tie-ins were slightly slept-on by fans: One World Under Doom Omnibus!

One World Under Doom was the 2025 Marvel line-wide event focused on Doctor Doom as a main character. It spun out of one of the final consequences of the major 2024 line-wide event, Blood Hunt, which saw Doctor Doom taking over as Earth’s Sorcerer Supreme. With more power than ever, Doom decided it was time to exercise more control than ever – over the entire world.

As is typically the case with modern Doom stories, he was benevolent right up until the point his power was challenged… and then things got complicated.

I read just about every issue related to this event, as it was all coming out during the 2025 run of my weekly show The Pull List. The main event series had spectacular art and Ryan North had a terrific time writing Doctor Doom. Unfortunately, the premise of the book involved every single hero being a total moron. An utter fool. A massive nincompoop.

This is called an “idiot plot” – a trope where otherwise intelligent and capable characters have to show poor judgment so that their failures can be further the narrative.

Generally, when Marvel and DC events require beloved heroes to play their part in an idiot plot, those events are not terribly well-received. See Civil War II for an example. An event premised on, “Everyone is making poor decisions and no one is speaking to each other” tends to wear you down.

Except… is there an argument to be made that Ryan North did this deliberately? To Doom, aren’t we all idiots – all of us except for his god-daughter Valeria Richards? I think we could say that the stupidity of the heroes here is part of North telling a story where Doom is truly the main character… and I also think that would be a stretch even Reed Richards would have trouble making.

Luckily, a lot of the independent tie-ins to this event were incredibly intriguing – and Doom appeared in virtually none of them. Doom’s Division (2025) was one of my favorite comics of the year, an unlikely team book that felt Claremontian in inspiration. Thunderbolts: Doomstrike (2025) leaned into the fallibility of Winter Soldier. Runaways returned under the pen of Rainbow Rowell! Ryan North wrote the best issue of GODS we’ve had yet! Doom Academy continued the always-charming adventures of the Strange Academy kids! And, Red Hulk (2025) was surprisingly meaty and had some terrific artwork – plus, it set up this year’s world-shaking event, Armageddon! New Comics & Collected Editions Releases: Marvel Comics – April 30 2025

Doom's Division (2025) #2 (of 5), a Marvel Comics April 30 2025 new releaseNext week is the 18th new comic book day of 2025! This post covers Marvel Comics April 30 2025 new releases. Missed this week’s releases? Check out last week’s post covering Marvel Comics April 23 2025 new releases.

This week in Marvel Comics: Ultimate Mysterio’s mystery revealed, Doom’s Division hits Japan, Earth X recollected, our biggest Jeff collection yet, TVA concludes, NYX ends, Fantastic Four counts down, a Spider-Man Modern Era Epic, and more!

Marvel has 15 comics for sale this week (not counting FCBD and giveaways) and only 3 of them are ongoing titles. If that’s not a state of emergency indicating how much trouble Marvel’s line is in, I don’t know what is!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: An easy pick for me this week, since I loved the first issue of this series so much – Doom’s Division (2025) #2! I’m happy to say that issue #1 turned out to be a favorite of the week of mine last month not just because the competition was slim (and it was) but because I loved the easy way Yoon Ha Lee communicated so much information about a new set of characters and an unfamiliar culture. I’m looking forward to more.

This post includes every comic out from Marvel Comics April 30 2025, plus collected editions in omnibus, hardcover, paperback, and digest-sized formats.

This isn’t the typical comic releases post you can find on other sites. Why? I explain each collection and review every series with a new issue out this week. Plus, for every new release, I’ll point you to a personally-curated guide within the Crushing Comics Guide to Marvel Comics to find out how to collect that title in full!

There’s no other website on the internet that can claim that.

Eddie Brock: Carnage (2025) #3, a Marvel Comics April 23 2025 new releaseNext week is the 17th new comic book day of 2025! This post covers Marvel Comics April 23 2025 new releases. Missed this week’s releases? Check out last week’s post covering Marvel Comics April 16 2025 new releases.

This week in Marvel Comics: One World vs. Doom, Avengers of Evil, X-Men vs. 3k, Predator stalks a Spider, X-Force ends, Rhino’s heart problems, Brock vs. Bushwacker, Epic best ever X-Men reprinted, Epic Ultimate X-Men (but just a lil’ bit), the least-wanted X-Men omni of all time, and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: There are no Star Wars comics out this week for a Marvel Zombie turned Marvel Hater to retreat to for my pick! What’s a confirmed hater to do? Luckily, this week actually has all of my favorite non-Ultimate Marvel books, so I have some choices! Since Avengers (2023) will be a One World Under Doom (2024) tie-in of unknown quality (and since One World kinda fell apart in issue #2), I’m going with Eddie Brock: Carnage (2025) #3, which is building an engaging horrific mystery for the unholy alliance between Eddie Brock and the Carnage symbiote! More on that below.

Star Wars: Legacy of Vader (2025) #3, a Marvel Comics April 16 2025 new releaseNext week is the 16th new comic book day of 2025! This post covers Marvel Comics April 16 2025 new releases. Missed this week’s releases? Check out last week’s post covering Marvel Comics April 9 2025 new releases.

This week in Marvel Comics: Tony Stark’s anti-Doom insurgency, Elektra & Ghost Rider vs. Muse, Epic Modern Widow, Godzilla vs. 70s Hulk, Aaron Wolverine reprinted, Spider-Men battle paired foes, some mysterious Superior Avengers, and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: Marvel’s line is in a rough spot without many exciting comic series at the moment, so my pick of the week has to default to a Star Wars book for a second week in a row. Congratulations, Star Wars: Legacy of Vader (2025) #3, your my pick because Marvel’s superhero editorial strategy at the moment is a dumpster fire! Although, in truth, I do find this series pretty fun – as is the case anytime Charles Soule deep dives into a villain.

Ultimate Wolverine (2025) #3, a Marvel Comics March 26 2025 new releaseNext week is the 13th new comic book day of 2025! This post covers Marvel Comics March 26 2025 new releases. Missed this week’s releases? Check out last week’s post covering Marvel Comics March 19 2025 new releases.

This week in Marvel Comics: Godzilla invades the Marvel U, X-Manhunt is over (hooray!), Scarlet Witch gets Masterworked, Daredevil wraps his neverending deadly sins, Ultimate Gambit & Kitty Pryde, DWJ’s Beta Ray Bill back to print, Red Hulk breaks out, Old Republic Legends reprinted, whatever the Pooluminati are, and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: It’s is a very tight call to make this pick over two books resolving cliffhangers that have been on my mind all month, but I have to give it to Ultimate Wolverine (2025) #3 debuting Ultimate Gambit and Kitty Pryde! This book is becoming the de facto “Ultimate X-Men” since the actual Ultimate X-Men (2024) isn’t much of a traditional X-Men title. However, I very nearly picked Red Hulk (2025) #2 or Ultimate Spider-Man (2024) #15 given how both of their prior issues left off last month.
