This week in DC Comics: Absolute Al Ewing strips down the Lantern myth, a return to the original Elseworlds, Ram V’s rebirth of Resurrection Man, Atom Project blows up, a perfect Finest Peacemaker, Poison Ivy chooses between man and marsh, Secret Six’s strained queer relationships, and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: This might be a bit of a dark horse pick over new Absolute books, a new arc of Birds of Prey, and the return of Resurrection Man, but my pick this week is Secret Six (2025) #2! Actor turned DC author Nicole Maines really captured my imagination with her first issue and Stephen Segovia is on a continued hot streak of arc after his recent work in the Spawn Universe. More below on why I’m so enamored with this book based on it’s first issue.

The Krisis Pick of the Week: Is this really happening… am I picking Deadpool (2024) #13 for my pick of the week!? You’re damn right I am! As Cody Ziglar heads into Year Two of this run he is hot off a smashing success with his Deadpool/Miles crossover. With truly funny quips, an outstanding supporting cast, and Rogê Antônio rotating back in on art I’m expecting major fun from this issue.

I’ll be co-hosting this debate with Uncanny Omar of Near Mint Condition and a panel of amazing guests. We will each share our picks for Wolverine evergreen stories… and then we’ll fight tooth and nail over our officially endorsed final list of Evergreen Wolverine Stories.

It’s the stream that is half serious recommendations, half a cut-throat game show of all of us trying to block other people’s recommendations so that all of our own make the list.

Today I’m back with a different kind of guide for Patrons of CK – one that I’ve been considering for well over half a decade and finally decided to buckle down and complete. And, let me tell you, this is not the one I ever expected to be the first example! But, after an entire quarter of reading almost every comic out in the Direct Market, there’s one imprint that has been sticking out to me for generating non-stop positive reactions from readers with a wide array of comics. Some of them have even hooked me, noted curmudgeon. And, that’s why today I’m bringing you my first ever guide to a creator-centric imprint with my Guide to Giant Generator – an Image Comics imprint helmed by Rick Remender!!

This guide is available exclusively to Patrons and will be available to the public later this year with the release of Giant Generator’s recently teased Wave 3 of comic titles.

Choosing Giant Generator as my first creator-centric guide was genuinely a big shock to me. Back in 2012 when Rick Remender’s Uncanny X-Force (2010) wrapped up I was sure that he was one of my favorite comic writers. But, after reading almost all of what he has recently deemed “Wave 0” of his creator-owned Giant Generator titles like Black Science (2013), Deadly Class (2014), and Low (2014) I felt like I wasn’t vibing with Remender all all?
