Every Missing WildStorm Omnibus, Mapped | 2025 Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus Poll

It’s time to map the DC Universe! In June, I’ll be joining with Near Mint Condition to launch the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll! This post explains every WildStorm omnibus that does NOT exist – all of which will appear as options on the 2025 poll.

Through the end of May I’ll be covering DC entire publishing history by mapping missing omnibus volumes to fill in every gap in your DC oversize shelf! That’s all leading to the kickoff of the Tigereyes Most Wanted DC Omnibus 2nd Annual Poll on Near Mint Condition the first week of June.

In the past year DC has finally acknowledged that they have more WildStorm material to print beyond Jim Lee’s run on WildCATs, the first volume of The Authority, and Planetary. We got a second Authority omnibus, a WildCATs compendium that significantly expanded on the material in the Jim Lee Absolute Edition, and a Compendium of pre-Authority Stormwatch material!

That’s all great progress, but it still mostly collects material that has been collected before. There’s 30 potential omnibus volumes worth of WildStorm material that DC could still collect! While sales on the three recent books might be a good indicator of demand, it would be huge for a WildStorm book to make it into the on-air results of the Tigereyes poll this year.

The Krisis Pick of the Week: This is an easy pick – Alan Davis writing or drawing anything is an instant appointment for me, so him being the launch creator for the new anthology series Fantastic Four Fanfare (2025) #1 means it’s immediately my pick of the week! However, I’m also interested to see how things develop in All-New Venom (2024) #6.

The Krisis Pick of the Week: It’s slim pickings this week, but there’s one book I’m sure everyone is curious about: Al Ewing writing Batman in Detective Comics (1937 / 2016) Annual 1/2025! Despite my slight weariness with Ewing in 2025, I have to admit I’m curious to see what he’ll do with a single issue story of Batman. Ewing could be a fine writer to take up the “creepy detective story” vibe of Dark Patterns when the Dan Watters & Hayden Sherman maxi-series ends.

April 30 is the fifth Wednesday of the month and DC does not typically release issues of ongoing series on a fifth week. Instead, this week we have a chapter of a maxi-series, the conclusion of a mini-series, and several one-shots and annuals – as well as Free Comic Book Day.

New Comics & Collected Editions Releases: DC Comics – April 16 2025

This week in DC Comics: Superman Day kicks off the Summer of Superman, Absolute Rogues, Waid’s “We Are Yesterday” begins in the past, a Five Years Later reprint five years later, the sharp edges of Zatanna’s mystery, the Sonic League, conflicts explode in The New Gods, and more!

The Krisis Pick of the Week: There are a lot of heavyweight issues out this week that I considered. Last month, picking Detective Comics gave me a surefire winner because Taylor & Janin’s run has just been that damn good. And, I’m very tempted to pick Christopher Cantwell’s Challengers of the Unknown (2024) #5 (of 5… or 6). But, I’m going with Jamal Campbell’s Zatanna (2025) #3. Last issue was wildly entertaining and gave us terrific contrast from the debut issue. Plus, there’s no one else in comics who draws quite like Campbell.
